OK. So I just called the ID Verify number I was asking you all for as opposed to the regular 1040 number. The lady was very nice & I think that what she told me might be the first accurate information I have gotten. Here are my stats if you haven’t seen my other posts.
AZ resident
No Offsets/fees.
Filed 1/14 with TT
Accepted 1/19
Ordered return trans via web 2/5
Lost WMR bar with no codes but a Tax Topic 152 on 2/6.

So I called after reading alot of your posts about needing to verify and the lady was very nice she told me that I did not have to verify anything & that I was not under review. (She claims if you are under review your WMR will indicate that speciffically) The Important new information she shared was that she told me due to the outage last week certain filers meeting certain “criteria”(Basically all of us waiting with no code/IDVerify picked at random) were pushed into a later processing cycle(When they approve your refund) which will result in anywhere from a 1-8 week delay(Everyone’s Cycle will vary we weren’t all put in the same one) in the processing of our refunds….

Long Story short We Are the totally screwed, Unlucky Bunch that can’t do anything but wait….

Let me know if you hear anything different….I’m still calling again tomorrow just to see if I get a different story Like I did when I called yesterday and was told I was under review.

BUT YOU CAN DO SOMETHING CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN TO MAKE A STATEMENT this is a TOTAL DELAY FOR DEFICIT REASONS
PEOPLE you DO NOT & SHOULD NOT HAVE TO
1. Accept verbal reasons for actions from GOVERNMENT which are HARMING you as NO RESULT of your doing & the hostage is YOUR MONEY
2. Accept MULTIPLE ALL OVER THE PLACE REASONS when you are being held HOSTAGE BY the very government YOU ELECT

The real reasons your returns are being held are MONETARY
Affordable healthcare is designed so that receipts of those who CAN PAY covering those who CANNOT PAY
The reality: still the SAME # OF UNINSURED AMERICANS because they don’t qualify for Govt payment and they CAN’T AFFORD IT; therefore, it is running HUGE DEFICITS
SECOND REASON Huge dump of US TREASURY BONDS cause all time lows

What do both have in common? IRS RESPONSIBILITY

JUST FYI…Resident Aliens Illegal resident filers are being refunded
PUBLIC ASSISTANCE ONLY INCOME, not even sure how that works for a refund but w/EIC yes it does, REFUNDED…
