IRS letter – informed delivery

I’m getting an IRS letter tomorrow, which informed delivery has a link for to an ‘EITC assistant’. I am not eligible for EITC, and didn’t claim it. Why am I getting this letter?

Anyone else experience this>

  The notice/letter wasn’t viewable in the online account. I received it, it was a 4464c. Time to wait. Nothing exciting or different in my tax return.

  If you can log into your IRS account, there’s a link for you to view certain letters that may have been sent. Have you checked there?

  The letter I received last week had that link in informed delivery, however it was an offset letter letting me know the refund I was due was taken due to past debt owed to them. I was already aware that I owed money last year which is why I amended my last years return in December. Your letter could be very different. Could be a letter to verify.
