IRS giving DD state by state?

I’m just curious what the pattern is. Would love to know what the rhyme or reason is why some people are still waiting when some people who filed recently already have dd. I know the by last name theory was debunked. Are they doing state by state? I know that seems crazy to me, but I wonder?
Can those with dd post your state please? I’m in Ohio accepted 1/15 nothing.

my bars disappeared yesterday.. says refund still processing and shows refund amount. my account transcript shows nothing with no cycle date. I filed on 1/28 and was accepted that night.

@Crisp? Your a weekly schedule for WMRF will not update til next Saturday. If you have access to you account transcript online you will see the changes there and know that you’ve been approved when you see code 864 DD at the very bottom of your transcript. This could be anytime any day this week when their done working it.

@jenette that is so true. I get my refund every year before WMRF updates and this is because the system only updates once a week for the weekly cycle and daily cycle people. I am a weekly cycle 05.

Hey you guys the states have nothing to do with when you will receive your return. You need to look at your CYCLE CODE on your account transcript. It will be a series of eight numbers beginning with 2019 and ending in “0” followed by a 1,2,3,4 or 5.
If your numbers are 01-04 you will be processed daily meaning your DD updates are on Wednesday and DD will happen on Friday. If your CYCLE CODE ends with 05 you major updates will come ONLY ON SATURDAY with a DD on a Wednesday only.
If your bars Disappear then that means that your return is in que to be processed. If your 21 days go past then you can start to worry and make an inquiry. I hope this info helps.

I dont think it is by state, I am in Alabama and my family all filed around the same 1/22 1/23
1/24 . Yesterday some got DD dates some got no changes to the being processed. So I am thinking it just depends on what day it wants to update. I have heard some people get refunds before wmr updates even. I have never personally seen it, but lots post it happened.

Sorry also forgot to mention that his bars disappeared Saturday morning, and I have been on the same 1 bar tax topic 152 for almost 2 weeks. I thought for sure he would have updated last night since he is not a Pather….but I guess now it’s all up to what happens early next week, to know if if the IRS is just backed up on updating WMR or if there is a real problem with our taxes. But earliest DD are for 2/22 I’ve been seeing on here, so there’s no need to get worried yet.

The early filers who haven’t seen an 846 code or ddd yet are mostly weeklies and will see those changes on Friday (trans) and Sat (wmr). Federal refunds don’t go by state.
