IRS CRASH AGAIN!!!!

IRS System crashed again just got off phone with ID verify and was put back on hold because of system crashed. Rep told me to call back nxt week.

When the IRS first implemented the identity fraud system, as far as I can remember, they were supposed to run test returns through to help the system ‘catch’ which ones were fradulent. The system was royally messed up and kept spitting legitimate returns out of the system. In my opinion, they still haven’t actually fixed this issue, just made it worse somehow with the ID verification. It seems like those who did ID verification before submitting their returns ended up having to re-verify, which makes no sense.

Sounds like IRS for ya. Give us your money and we’ll screw you over. Oh you filed on 1-25 and need your money now? Oh you filed 2-5 and need your money? Let’s see: 2-5 adds up to 7 and 1-25 adds up to 26. Oh that’s easy. We all know 7 comes before 26. So 2-5 goes first and 1-25 goes to the back. (Just kidding but sounds like something that would do. God I hope they aren’t using Common Core methods to issue refunds. If so this is gonna take awhile.)(meant as sarcastic humour)

I think the IRS out smarted themselves setting that old system up to find fraudulent tax returns. No way they should be this discombobulated at this time of year. that old system can’t handle all the changes.

just got of with IRS trying to confirm they received my return filed 2/4 as when I check wmr it says info doesn’t match, he said the system crashed again, they can not access anything, and I could try back later tonight it may be back up.
