As of 7 pm CST my refund is in my credit union and WMR has not been updated to “refund sent”. It updated with approved and a DDD of 2/5 yesterday.

In past years I received my refund before WMR updated anything. My friends both work for the IRS and said it’s more likely than not that people receive their refund before the website give a DDD. So it’s likely refunds will still be deposited without an update on WMR. Just my 2 cents.

Eight days from accepted has been my golden number as well. I’ve also learned that filing early never does me any good. The wait to be accepted is almost harder than the wait for a DDD.
Stuff happens. Situations happen. It can be super stressful to wait if you do have something come up, so it’s nice to have a place to come and vent. I’ve gotten a lot of good info from this site in the past few years, but it seems that every year the IRS catches on to us and takes another detective avenue away.

@Sir Readsalot Amen. I have my money pretty much at day 9 (which is tomorrow, btw), so we shall just see what happens.

I’ve had it happen the past 4 years. WMR has NEVER updated for me. And I found this site in its infant stages and it’s always a lot of extremes and one off situations, none of which apply to the average taxpayer. This place is just drama drama drama and people outside the normal and who are complaining because they need their deposit for something relevant in their lives. Rule of thumb tho?
Don’t believe shit on this site that seems too good to be true or is very different from something that is said multiple times.
Unless something happens with your tax return, the average time frame is 8 days. Almost like clockwork. If you’ve gone 8 days and nothing? Then come on here and complain about it and find people in your similar situation. -

Thanks that’s what I was thinking too.

I hope so. I think unless you’ve actually had it happen, it’s like a myth.

I wouldn’t worry. Every year WMR doesn’t update ever for about half of us. You will more than likely get it the same time as your brother and it will update 4 days later. Just enjoy the drama and think about what your going to spend your deposit on tomorrow
