      FYI..If the IRS limits services due to a funding lapse during a shutdown, refunds are not paid during that time, according to the IRS page from the 2025 shutdown. The exception last time was for individual taxpayers who filed their 1040 forms electronically without errors, which could be automatically processed and directly deposited.
