      Just checked the mail and I noticed a letter from the IRS. Hey maybe it’s the Account Transcript I ordered last week right? WRONG! It’s a letter stating they were unable to process my request for information and promoted me to call the IPSU which I’m on hold with right now!

      I’m assuming that I was actually unable to order my Acct Transcript because they needed to verify my identity. Soooo WHY DID YOU LET ME ORDER IT IN THE FIRST PLACE IF YOU WERENT SURE IT WAS ME?! Why wasn’t there an alert on the website once I attempted?!

      Now I’m sitting here wondering how long my refund is going to be delayed once I go through the verification process! This is complete BS because I know I put my DL, SSN, everything but my DNA and Medical records on my return to help verify my identity and you STILL need to verify? Just give me my money already!

      Anyway, I’m still on hold, but does anyone know how long it will take to receive my refund once I go through this verification BS? WMR still has me at 1 bar and 152 tax topic.

          I got the same letter …no movement on wmr and most def no updates just 1bar and TT 152

            Any update with this? I just received the same letter today but wasn’t sure if I should bother calling. I called last week after a week of no bars on WMR and the rep told me I was pulled for review and it would be another 7 days to process. So I’m trying to hold off until this Friday.

              So I received ANOTHER letter in the mail from the IRS. It was for the 2014 return transcript I ordered a couple days after I ordered my account transcript for 2015. It is the EXACT SAME LETTER I received yesterday! The letter which the Rep told me was because I can’t order my 2015 transcripts yet! Lol! So I guess I gotta wait 3 weeks for my 2014 ones too!

              Some of these reps are just full of it! Anyway, this tells me that I would of had to verify my identity to order my transcripts anyway. And if I remember they gave me a number to call last year when I tried to view my transcripts online last year….oh well, I’ll keep watching the pizza tracker…

                Yeah, just wanted to give you a heads up because someone else on here verified their identity and the rep said they would have to wait an additional 21 days on top of the initial 21 days. Glad everything worked out for you, the least IRS reps could do is be patient and nice with us considering we pay their salary.

                  Just got off the phone with the IRS rep. She told me that verifying my ID for transcripts had nothing to do with my refund and that WMR would give me an alert if it did.

                  I think she was mad at me because I told her I wanted my transcript for THIS YEAR/Tax period Dec 2015 and she proceeded to order my 2014 trans(partially my fault because I wasn’t paying attention).

                  She then told me that my Account transcript for 2015 weren’t available yet and that I had to wait 3 weeks from the date I filed to order them. I started to question her as to why it allowed me to order the Account Transcript and not the my Return and she copped an attitude. Stated that she wasn’t familiar with the online systems. Then I said “Oh, well maybe it was a glitch in the system”, which she replied “NO, It’s not a glitch.” Thought you didn’t know how the system worked?

                  Anyway, I hope this doesn’t effect my return any more than it is. I should of wrote down her ID number, but I didn’t feel like being petty today. I hope she isn’t on this site! Lol!

                    ” Why Were Contacting You
                    We’re contacting you to report on the status of the request we received. Information about the status of the request
                    On January 29,2016 , you submitted a request for information.
                    We apologize for the inconvenience but we are not able to process your request at this time. You or you representative can contact the Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU) at 800-908-4490.”

                    I’m assuming that they need me to verify my ID.

                      If you needed to verify your identity it would give you an error on your WMR and the IRS would send you a letter clearly stating that you needed to verify your identity. Don’t delay it longer by calling them and verifying it when you don’t need too.
