I just verified this morning. I knew it was coming when I was still showing as processing when everyone else updated last week. I had to last year as well, but they couldn’t do it over the phone (said I answered something incorrectly) and I had to make an appt and go to the IRS office.

My question (because last year was a disaster for me and I can’t really use it as a time frame), does it REALLY take 9 more weeks to process? I would like my money before mid April lol.

I had a completely different issue last year, employer reported wages that were $36 more than w2 showed, and was told I’d have to wait 8 weeks for it to be fixed. From people’s suggestions here I requested a taxpayer advocate and got it back in 2 weeks. Maybe that is something you all could look into. They say you do have to be in some kind of financial hardship situation and I was at the time, but didn’t need to provide any proof of that.
Either way, it would definitely be worth your time to at least see if that is something that could be available to you. My advocate was super helpful and I ended up waiting only 2 weeks instead of the estimated 8 that I was told by an IRS rep.
Wish you all the best of luck and a speedy return!

I knew when I didn’t start processing with the last group that the letter was coming. And she said the same generic thing, I even asked if it would REALLY be that long or she just had to say that and she said plan on 9 weeks. But it is the IRS and God forbid they tell you anything useful.

                I filed 1/20
                Rejected for incorrect AGI
                Corrected mistake
                Accepted 1/23
Can’t remember the exact date but I lost bars around two weeks ago. Stayed that way with tt 152 and “still processing” message since then
Got a letter yesterday..(I’m assuming I would’ve received it monday if it weren’t for the holiday) it was dated 2/15.
I ID verified this morning as well.
Got the generic ‘give it nine weeks’ script.
