Delayed to Codes 971/570 Hold and Notice cods

So I am delay processing over a week now and today I can view transcripts. I accidentally left off a ctc payment in the amount of $678. I see they adjusted it. So delay means according to my research and speaking to IRS rep, errors offsets, or ID verify. My cycle is 20220705 and as of date is 3/7/2022. If you have these codes check for notices and see if you can I’d verify now unless you know you made an error. You can also call offset number which you can Google to confirm you have no offsets. Please update if anyone gets an code 846 that has the hold codes too please thank you. Hopefully we all update tomorrow 🙏🏼

IRS said they are reviewing my return and an take up to 120 days from 03-07-2022, so July 2, 2022. I called the offset number and so far, I don’t owe anything. I entered my advance child tax credit payment correctly and stimulus payment correctly. First year this has happened to me. Letter not being mailed until 03-14-2022. When I call, they just say account is being reviewed!

971 letter 570 hold/ freeze pretty much review I was told it’s gonna take at least 120 days before a decision is made🤦🏽‍♀️!

Me too! I have codes 971/570 and my cycle date is 20220705 My refund was increased about $2000. I just learned how to check transcripts and have no idea what this all means. Should I be worried?

I have the same codes 971/570 my cycle date is 20220705 and as as of date 03/0702022. My refund was adjusted to $2000 more I just hope they release it soon

Not always bad! I was resequenced on the 8th (showed over 21 day notice that day) and notice issued on my transcripts, but I spoke to IRS rep this morning and they said there was an error, but it is because I’m getting an additional $2000

I had the same codes, i think the issue is my son was born in november and tax act added the extra stim money automatically. When i check out the transcript it should 3 dependents but i have 4, thinking the code is the irc verifying my newborns ssn or something

I checked id.verify and got we cannot provide you information via I’d verification. It wouldn’t even tell me ifi needto or not.

Check offsets and debts and I have none! So I’m hoping for a quick pass. But have a 570/971.

Code 898 is the code for an offset and usually appears 11 days after code 846 refund date.

I have the same codes my refund amount is different and they dates say 030722

Transcript showed nothing until 2/18
I also have those codes 971 and 570
They both can mean a numerous of things
971 says Miscellaneous Transaction
570 additional hold/verification

For me 570, they are doing additional verification for my dependent and 971 the spouse relief etc….. I have had them both in the pass and it was never an issue or hold up.
