Important Updates Regarding Form 8867 – Paid Preparer’s Earned Income Credit Checklist

What a week it’s been.We don’t have any new news to share at this time, but as we stated earlier, we’ve heard that the majority of affected returns have already cleared the Error Resolution stage.
Preparers continue to share with us that funding dates are appearing on the “Where’s My Refund?” site, with many indicating that returns processed this week should be direct deposited on Tuesday, February 26. We suggest that you check the site for the status of your return. Please note that the site is updated every 24-hours, so the IRS requests that you check once per day for updates.
We know you’ll be working this weekend, and so will we. We’ll provide an update once each day on Saturday and Sunday at around 2:00 p.m. ET. We’ll share the latest information we have, but if you have any questions or need to contact us over the weekend, please dial 1-800-374-7317 or 1-800-434-6818.
