      Can an employer change a 1099 to a w2 the same year?

          Hmmm. Sorry I do not know the answer to that one. Have they submitted anything to IRS or SSA yet? Filing dates are different this year for employers. Personally, I would rather a 1099…but then again I do not know ur situation.

            Basically what im asking is can they change the 1099 if they have already issued it & if i haven’t filed my return yet. Like is it a long process or can they do it in a day per say.

              Good question. If u become an employee..instead of a sub I suppose so, but why now it’ll delay u
