Anyone talk to it's???

I called the IRS this morning around 10:30 Eastern Time to be told the reason for no update on where’s my refund or IRS to go is because if you are a path over your refund will not be deposited until after February 27th! Yes you heard me right February 27th! I asked her to look up my account and see if it had been processed and was just a way to deposit. She put me on hold for 9 minutes of course that’s after waiting 34 minutes just to speak to someone came back on the phone to say you are a pather and your refund will be deposited /released after February 27th. has anyone else gotten this information from IRS regarding their refund? I told her there recorded message while I was waiting the 30 some-odd minutes to speak with someone stay did that refunds will be deposited after the 15th of February that anyone that was getting the EIC or ACTC would not get anything before the 15th also told her I’ve never gotten a deposit that late ever. She said yes ma’am you probably got it the same time last year and I replied to her name am I got it on the 22nd last year. Any feedback from anyone would be helpful. Thanks

That’s a generic message that they are only allowed to give to cover their asses. The people at the irs that pick up the phones have no clue what they are talking about and will not look up anything that’s why I never call them. They are people just like us that work at a call center. I know because my friend applied for a phone job at the irs
