      What does that mean?

      971 notice issued with a date of 2/18

          I filed my return 2/26 got excepted 2/27
          After the 21 day wait nothing called IRS they sent a l letter for identity verification never got it called back after waiting the 2 weeks for the first letter and they resent verified identity 4/22 finally after doing so it took 3 more week to update on my transcripts it has codes
          806 with the date 4/15 code 960 with date 4/15
          Codes 766 and 768 with date 4/15
          Codes 570 twice with date 5/27
          Code 971 notice issued date 5/27
          Can someone help me understand please never had these issues

            I still have a process date of 2/18 hopefully it’s just nothing. My student loan is up to date and I have court papers saying I claim my daughter every year…

                @Laura That means it is being reviewed by a person I believe. They will send out a letter as to why usually.
