Tax Refund Schedule for 2018 IRS e-file and direct deposit dates

2018 Refund Schedule

2018 Refund Schedule

The tax refund schedule for 2018 with Direct Deposit dates shown below are based on filing and transmitting as early as January 2, 2018. The IRS no longer publishes these dates and now notifies tax payers that most refunds will be issued within 21 days of your return being accepted.  This general estimate doesn’t satisfy everyone and now many independent sites try to estimate dates when refunds will be sent.

The tax refund schedule dates you find on the various websites are only estimates.  It might give you a good idea, but never bank on it because many issues arise and delay tax refunds. When will tax season open? Once we know the date tax season open, the estimated tax refund direct deposit dates will likely be updated.

You can view and compare 2017 and prior year tax refund schedules here:  tax refund schedule. To check the status of your tax refund you can use the IRS Where’s My Refund tool.

Filed on Jan 22nd accepted on jan 23rd. Went to processing message on Feb 16th. I still have no DDD & no updates. Went with H&R block like we do every year but this is the first time I’ve waited this long so I’m very worried. Why are some returns with the eic & actc getting refunds while we still have heard nothing. I’m starting to get very worried that something must be wrong with ours even though I couldn’t think of one thing that could be. I’m pretty sure I’m a weekly because every year we only get a new message on saturdays so I’m figuring wmr eill not be much hekp unyil Saturday & I’m losing my mind with not knowing. I can’t get my transcript online because they don’t recognise my phone so I can’t get any comfort or information that way & I’ve tried to call the irs & somehow I keep getting automated system that hangs up on me if i don’t pick an option that can be answered by the automated system & it will not let me speak to a human. The past couple years we’ve recieved our refund before Wmr said we anything about us supposedly receiving it so Wmr never has seemed the best way to check anything but this year I’ve been checking daily because I’m lost. If anyone has any information or any recommendations for how I can find out what’s going on I would be so greatful. I have never been this stressed during refund season😲

I filed 1/19, got accepted 1/22. TurboTax says I should have received it by 2/12 but there wasn’t anything on there yesterday. I’m getting both EIC and ACTC so the IRS website doesn’t show me any bars whatsoever. Just says to check back mid to late February. I’m in KY and last year received mine on 2/21, as did everyone in my state just about

If you electronically filed a complete and accurate tax return you should receive your refund in about 21 days from the received date. If you mailed your return please allow 6 weeks.

Please read the following information related to your tax situation:
