You see, I say this simply because, if you look closely, it’s not just one bank or one tax preparation servicer that this issue is in connection with. It’s all of them. And every bank and every tax preparation servicer has several customers that have received their refund at random intervals. Each consecutive tax filer used a different combination of bank and tax preparation servicer to file. There was no group of filers from this bank or that tax preparation servicer receiving their refund in one lump refunding. But if you look even closer, you’ll notice that every single one of us went through the IRS. That means the IRS has a much larger workload than any bank or tax preparation servicer and received each of our refunds in random order, depending on what we had going on in our personal lives throughout the year that was tax relevant. No, I don’t work for the IRS. Obviously… Since I’m on here rather than waiting for my head to explode from the chaos. I, too, am waiting. However, I’ve logically reasoned that there are only so many agents with so many phones and so many computers and brains and hands, and today only has 24 hours, less than half of which are business hours and I thought to myself: do I want the pair of person/technology handling my refund to be communicating with me or the bank and I realized: the bank is who they need to communicate with because the bank is where they’re putting my money today (hopefully) so maybe I should just not get my panties in a wad, respirate a little and exercise my patience. Yes it’s a challenge. It’s like waiting for Christmas. But do you know what would happen if we all called the North Pole on Christmas Day? Santa would have never made it from the toy shop to our chimneys, now would he? After all, there are only so many elves, so many hands, so many tools and one Santa. Patience is a virtue. Let’s all possess a little today, for Santa’s… And sanity’s… Sake. Please.
