So I called IRS to be informed that my return hasn’t even been posted to yet, let alone being approved. It hasn’t even been looked at?!?!?!

I electronically filed on Jan 25th, accepted on the same day. This is complete bullcrap. My own brother, same last name and he was accepted on the 25th of January as well was not only approved but issued his refund with DDD of the 22nd, most likely either has funds or will shortly.

So that’s it it’s allcomoletrly random this year, luck of the draw that I am completely fucked over, not even any kind of rational reason as to why either. Anyone else experiencing this or am I just the only one in the whole country they decided to Just forget about entirely…?

Also I will say that the guy I spoke with at the IRS was very nice, but he specifically made it sound as though they hadn’t even so much as looked at my return yet, saying their had been zero posts to the return. I would have at least like to hear that had at bare minimum looked at it or found something, like what if they haven’t looked at it and then they do find something and I have to start the entire process over again, that’s what I’m most worried about right now. The fear that the last 25 days have all been in vein and wastes as if I never even sent it in in the first place…

Thanks for the fellow feedback, it’s nice to know I’m not swimming out in the ocean alone, not saying I take joy in everyone else drowning with me, but it’s nice to have know there are others helping me wade out here…

            Sorry bad analogies lol..

I used TurboTax as I have for several years now, not to say I’m happy with their service over the years, but I pay the extra amount to get audit protection and to have my information saved from year to year.

This just sucks because normally I’m not able to file until the first or second week of February and I was excited to be filing a full week before February this year, only to get very very disappointed.

Needless to say that because of this I’ve had to sell some things I thought I’d never part with to make ends meet until I see this refund. Having three kids all with birthdays around Christmas kinda has made this a necessity every year to get bills back on track. Also didn’t help that my wife got laid off in early December until pretty much February, so getting back on track right now isn’t even feasible without these funds. Working two jobs and wife working one and having three kids and having moved four states away from family for medical reasons last year is certainly making this whole process right now a very extremely stressful time of year.

Tired of hearing some people who are waiting on the money to take their family to Disney or the likes and meanwhile I just want some relief to know we won’t end up shit Creek without a paddle if you catch my drift. Lol

I called yesterday and the guy who I talked to wasn’t very helpful. I was told it was done processing for EIC/Path but was going thru a review.

Asked what for – ID Verification or something? He said it hasn’t gone to review yet. It will be put back thru and if there is anything they need I’ll get a letter.

What I’m thinking is that random files are chosen – the numbers run (mistakes/errors) again – if that adds up – it goes to approved. It’s probably like the Quality Control they do an manufacturing plants. Pull random parts – make sure they fall with in certain parameters – if they do – they go to the next step.

I think they’re pulling more because they’re sooooo backed up due to the PATH stuff. There are a lot of people hitting the 21 day or over right now. Those are probably being processed first (as much as possible).

Called the number spoke with a nice lady who said my taxes been sent to another department for a correction. Then perfected and back in for manual review. The amount hasn’t change and she said everything looked good. So looks like I won’t get an update today like the rest of y’all. Makes for a long holiday weekend.

Anyone else have this problem or know how this might take. My account transcript has as of 3/6/17 on though so I don’t know. Never happen to me before

I feel like it’s the same song and dance every year regardless of delays.. Early filers have a very great chance of not getting processed first. Too many glitches in the system, and it seems to pull last in first out.. My brother always files early and I always wait until February… usually mid Feb.. I get mine back before him EVERY YEAR.

@Eliza – I’d bet you that you get a good status tomorrow morning. Don’t let it stress you out too much. Tomorrow morning a huge updated list comes out.

I also filed and was accepted on 1/25. I still have the processing message also. I tried calling the irs but they wont give me any information. Blah Blah Blah about the 27th. The lady was supper nice but not helpful. I waited 27 minutes on hold for that. My brother and sister also received a DDD of 2/22 this morning. They really don’t know how to get there s**t together. At least they could do was tell me if it was approved or if its on hold for some reason. Sorry for venting…..

@Ronnie – Have you called the offset # to see why they would hold part of it? It may help you out.

                        Call this number… It’s automated:
                        800-304-3107

                        Report back! Best of luck.

I called and they still haven’t given me a release date yet either. :(. They said I got a letter in January saying they have 60 days to review it. I’ve never had this happen. She said I don’t have to verify anything. Just wait and hope! I am still hoping for a DDD tomorrow!!! 😔

There is no advantage to filing early, only a disadvantage. A lot of people who filed early are having delays. Many early filers are getting their refund back after people who filed later. Next year wait until 2/2 to file.

I filed 2/8 and my DDD is 2/22.

Ronnie, does the WMR site show a deposit date? Does it show a deposit amount to the left? What do you see on the WMR site?

I am im the same boat brother, I filed 1/24, accepted same date

called this morning to see if I had a DD date, after running my social IRS lady said she has no info on a date just yet, to check WMR on the 18th to check on the status, complete and utter bullcrap, people who filed in Feb with the same credits are getting DD dates, and I cant order my transcripts online because the cell phone I have is a company phone, its ridiculous
