      Just got off the phone with a 3rd party that told me that once your wages and refunds start getting garnished, they will continue to offset and garnish your wages year after year. They said the balance of your loan doesn’t go down it goes up.. Anyone know about this?

          Not true at all. The only thing that increases loans is the interest. My taxes were offset last year, i owed 3500 and it paid off my entire balance. I am no longer in debt. Be careful, a lot of scams out there call around this time because they know people are getting returns. My loan payments went directly to Department of Education but I’ve had fake companies call me about payments.
