Wrong Filing Status….HELP

My tax preparer entered the wrong filing status on my return.

I am married and she put single!!!
My spouse is incarcerated.

Will I get a letter from irs?

Should I wait til I get my refund and then amend?

Anyone ever had this happen?

What will happen now?
