    Stimulus question

I posted on the live thread last night but can’t find it, so…

2020 accepted 2/13 still being processed. I’m 100 percent certain they went off of my 2019 return. I did not qualify for stimulus for 2020 (probably will for 2021) and did for 2019. Had an inheritance in 2020. And I lost one of my dependents. My son was married and filed his own 2020 return. I got stimulus for my entire family (including my son) and he got stimulus for him. Will they take it back when I file 2020? Should I call about my son and I both getting it for him?

While I’m so happy I got it and could really use it, I don’t want issues. Didn’t get 2nd stimulus it phased out to quick and got a partial 1st stimulus.

I read that you aren’t required to pay it back unless the person is deceased. They are actually advising people who may be over the threshold this year to hold off on filing taxes so they can still qualify for it based on 2019 returns.
