WMR UPDATED FROM 1 BAR TO NOW PATH ACT MESSAGE SMH

WMR Showed 1 bar (is being processed) from 1/25- 1/28
As of this morning on 1/29 WMR changed from 1 bar to now saying im a “pather” smh
never been a “PATHER” never wanted to be one
Dont know if its considered an UPgrade or DOWNgrade since a lot of Pathers have been getting DDD of 2/2/22
meanwhile some are saying we wont be processed till after 2/14
Spoke to IRS Yesterday and rep states that if we have a processing date on Transcript that says 2/14/22, then we will be in the batch that received RF on 2/2/22. especially if i have cycle code 05 meaning im a “weekly” because weekly’s get our RF on Wednesdays! im hoping and praying he is correct. cuz i mean he is the IRS so why would he lie right? (rolls eyes). fingers crossed i wont have to wait till after 2/14. Hopefully he is right about the DDD actually is 12 days BEFORE the processing date theory. because that would make my DDD 2/2/22 (12 days before processing date of 2/14) as he states.

@pittsburgh pa I have also received my path return before March. Usually a week before the 1st. Only 1 time was in March and that was because of an issue with the irs not being able to verify info on my w2. The message always says the first week of March, I think thats just to give them some time before people start calling.

@Amyk The PATH message is just letting you know that since you filed with the Earned Income Credit (and/or possibly the Additional Child Tax Credit) your refund will not be released until after 2/15.
@AshleyH31 Yeah I got my DD on 2/24 last year too. Actually I have NEVER received a deposit in March with PATH. Always about a week to 10 days after the 15th.

I received my ddd on 2/22 last year and I have 3 dependents so that path thing is not accurate at all my information does not change much I did get a new job this year and added in the 3600 I made braiding hair so I filed a scheduled C, I’m positive I’ll have a ddd this week or next but definitely before March, my fiancé also got his the same time and he claimed our new son

The IRS expects the earliest Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards the first week of March if they chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. you should realize that passed Law requires the IRS to hold your income tax until the end of February so it’s very doubtful that you will receive any money early February because it is a federal law if you log onto your tax account it says if you receive the Earned Income Tax Credit like it does every year the IRS will not release any money until the end of February

oh ok. got you. was just curious to know why. now i get that you’re speaking for yourself. i completely understand. as for me its diff every year. take for instance, 2019 everything was smooth sailing. then 2020, i needed to i.d verify. now this years 2021, all of a sudden im a “pather”. never the same pattern so idk. will wait and find out

History, I have been doing taxes for oh 20 years now. I have always had the same pattern. For those who update without the 846 awesome. However I know my tax history is it will update Friday to Saturday and I usually have a DD for that wed. Time will tell for sure.

why dont you believe it is true? last year my transcripts never updated with the 846 ddd. and i received my RF before my wmr updated as well as my transcripts. they both didnt update until i recieved my RF. so… you never know. stay positive.

I also woke up to the path message. I always update on a Friday with the following wed ad a deposit date. My transcripts are done with the exception of the 846 code so I know I will not be receiving mine this wed. I do have the same cycle code of I also have the processing date of 2/14/22 and even though everyone says it would be for 2/2 i do not believe that is true.
