So my WMR is changed to “we have received your tax return and it is being processed”

Transcripts show no update on codes.

Is this a good/bad thing?

Anyone else in the same boat?

I had the same problem I efile 01/26/19 got accepted 1/28/19 then PATH act for weeks the 2/19/19 switch to we received your return and it is being processed never had lines just the message that I know that make you think something is wrong but I went to my transcripts and see processing date 2/25/19 and today 2/22/19 I checked again and I had 846 refund code ddd 2/27/19 also if you 20190405 cycle code your are weekly updates are Friday night Saturday morning I hope this help someone don’t stress the new laws to check scams are going to hold some people.

Im with all of you!! Filed 01/15 and got accepted same day! I have the 20190405 code and 2/11 processing date! If I read everything correctly on the cycle codes we should have our deposits 2/27! That’s just my theory and could be completely wrong!! At least we didn’t get a bad update when we updated!! That’s a positive note!! Some people I read got the delayed message

WMR updates nightly — you can update into next week with a ddd. I wouldn’t stress too much. There are a TON of PATHers to work through and the system can only do so much at a time.

Given by what I’ve read all day, it seems like you’re in the same boat as many.

If your WMR shows “processing” then I read that’s a good thing and you “should” expect a direct deposit hopefully this week.

Again, from what I read.

Just the fact that your WMR changed to return is being processed is a good sign.

I am a pather. I am not completely understanding this whole process. Here is my information:

Filed- TT- 2/1
Accpeted- 2/1

My cycle Code is 20190705 (I know I am weekly)

Never got the Path message- Always had 1 bar with the original message about return is still being processed. Please allow 21 days and the TT 152 tax information (Sorry Something similar to that if that is not verbatim)

As of 2/14- I was able to see my transcripts- No 846 code

As of 2/15- WMR Changed to: Still had the same message as before with 1 bar

Refund Amount was always out to the left side

Checked Transcripts on 2/15- No 846 Code- I have all the rest (150, 766, 768)

Checked 2/16: Transcripts are still the same

WMR: Bars Disappeared and have the return is being processed message.
Still have refund amount on the side and it has not changed.

Can someone please help me and give some insight into what is going on?

Checked previous returns and I always received my refund on Thursdays.
Kind of in Limbo.

I filed and got accepted 1/28, week later bars disappeared and I got the still being processed message and TT 152. Today 2 weeks later my bars updated and DDD date of 2/21 I think they are just super slow this year. Normally I get my return in a week and a half not the full 3 weeks. No EIC or child tax credit. Hope this eases your mind that it is simply nothing.

Filed 1.29 accepted minutes later thru taxact and republic. I got one bar shortly after being accepted with message we are still processing your return and 152 tt. This morning I lost bar and message updated to your tax return is being processed. No tt 152 and I always had my refund amount. I update weekly, no 846 code. I always get my refund Wed or Thursday after President’s day. Hope this helps.

Just talked to my mom. She’s a daily updater with PATH, filed last week. She received an 846 with DDD of 2/22.

We filed 1/27, accepted 1/28 with PATH act message in place a few days later. We update weekly. We received no update on our transcripts this week, last night the PATH message switched to the generic “we are processing your return” that a lot of people have gotten.

I’m really wondering if the possibility of us weeklies either receiving the DD before it hits our transcripts is a possibility, or if everything is just a day behind due to PATH just lifting last night. This just seems weird.

Also…I guess I should mention all three years previous to this while on PATH, we have always been weekly updaters with our DD happening the Thursday after Presidents’ Day.

I am unable to view my transcripts because I do not have a cell phone in my name, I use prepaid. I had the PATH message also and with the update this morning I now have “Your return is being processed”. I filed on 1/11 and they accepted my return on 1/22. I’m getting tired of waiting and not even getting an estimated date.

So I just talked to my mom. She filed last week, approved same day, with the PATH act, received an 846 on her transcripts this morning with a DDD of 2/22. She’s a daily updater.

Us on the other hand…filed 1/27, accepted 1/28, path act, woke up this morning to the generic message of “your return is being processed” with no 846. We’re weekly.

I’m really wondering if there’s some validity to the idea I keep hearing of us weekly folks, receiving our DD before our transcripts update?

I am SO hoping what you’re saying is right, I believe you! I’m super aggravated because I am a daily (21090602 cycle date) so I got all happy and went to check my transcript for the 846 code but it wants me to re-verify my account. Does anybody have an idea if there’s a trick to putting your auto account or student loan number in there? I tried both and it said they didn’t match their records. I’m putting in the student loan number that was on the tax form! Before I try again and get locked out I thought I’d see if there was something I am missing…

My processing date this year is 2/11/2019 and a cycle code of 0405

I am a weekly, my info last year updated exactly a week after my processing date. I went through the “no 846” and my info changed to “being processed” but instead of an 846 I got a 570 1 week later. My return was released with no changes made on 5/2 of last year so while I hope there are 846s that just aren’t showing, be prepared for the possibility of a “further action hold.” The WMR change just means that it was handled from my experience, wether it’s a hold for further processing or set to release is anyone’s guess until next week.

I honestly thought id be one of the first to get processed since I owe them lol I checked my IRS account and still shows a balance so nothing applied.

Also let me add as this might help people. My boyfriend filed (albeit, no EIC or any additional credits) and was on 1 bar (and still is). He receiced his refund DD yesterday! No indication at all. Hopefully itll work the same for people with child credits.

Sounds like you are still processing.

Once you are through they should update with a handful of codes in the bottom area of the account transcript and 846 is the refund code.

Also under Refund/Amount Owed I have an amount but on the line Form 8888 total refund per computer its $0.

Let me also add that I owe taxes due to a 2015 audit but what I owe is not even 1/3 of what I’m getting this year.

I hope so too! I’m betting all that got updated on WMR this morning from path to processing have the 846 code, just some could see it based on being a daily update versus a weekly update based on the cycle code you have.

It would be my guess that the transcript system or whatever updates that is also the same system that tells WMR to update.

WMR updates on Wednesday’s. If you are considered a weekly your transcripts only update thursday night into Friday mornings. Which is why I suspect anyone with a cycle code ending in 05 got a WMR update today but not an 846 code but anyone with a cycle code ending in 01-04 got updated transcripts this morning with the 846 codes because those transcripts update daily.

I do however believe the system has an 846 code assigned to you or your WMR wouldn’t have updated. But since your transcripts don’t update daily you didn’t see the 846 update to them today.

Nothing will get processed on 2/18 since it’s a holiday. The processing code on your transcript is there for IRS internal purposes to ensure your return doesn’t get “stuck”. That date will either update to a new one or it won’t. My guess is that it won’t because you were likely issued the 846 code overnight last night which is why your WMR updated this morning. You should hopefully see a DDD pop up the next time WMR updates

Does your WMR refund amount show now with the processing message? If so is it your original refund amount before the offset or does it show the reduced amount after the offset?

Since you updated to the processing message this morning and are a weekly cycle code (ends in 05) I’m going to guess that your account does have the 846 code, you just can’t see it online yet and probably won’t see it until next Friday. However I’m also thinking you will have the 2/22/19 date next to it like those of us that were able to see the 846 code and processing message this morning and most likely your WMR will update Wednesday with a DDD and I’m thinking your DD will be 2/22. Those are just my educated guesses based off how I think the IRS system works.

Let us know about your refund amount and if it reflects the offset or not on WMR. If it does I’m willing to say your refund was processed, they sent the payment to it and now you are just waiting on your DDD to post on WMR since you can’t see it with your 846 code

Who has a cycle code that ends in 01-04? Do you have an 846 code or not?

I’m thinking that those who updated to the processing message but don’t have an 846 code are 05’s (weeklies). Which means that usually your transcripts only update to the master file and post online for you to see them on Fridays only.

I’m thinking if your WMR pages updated to processing from path today, your transcripts have the 846 code they just haven’t posted them again to see online since they only post weeklies on Fridays.

Makes me think your WMR will update before you see the actual code and I’m betting anyone who went to processing from path message will most like have the 2/22/19 date that we got this morning on our transcripts with the 846 code

IRS needs a massive overhaul in order to streamline these situations. ITS OUR OWN MONEY lol. They have a tough task with millions of returns,so I get it, but we need to see massive simplification done asap.It shouldn’t take families a month after being accepted on the returns, to get their money into their hands!! They may update throughout the day today. If you are a weekly though (cycle code ends in 05) it’s hard to say if you will see a posted update to them before WMR updates as your transcripts usually only update on Fridays.

Your WMR might update to a DDD before they upload your updated transcripts again. Those of us that went from path to the processing message today have an 846 code with a date of 2/22/19. Hopefully your 846 date has the same one.

You guys will have to post updates when your WMR or transcripts finally update with info
