WMR Update Question

Ok. I see so many mixed “facts” about update times and cycles. The IRS says it updates once a day. But that is so vague as to who’s updates once a day. On the refund talk site they state that daily accounts are processed each weekday exceot Thursday and then you see an update Wednesday mornings. Weekly are said to only orocess in thursdats and then updates are seen posted on Saturday. If course on the 23rd the Saturday update rang very true for many people. I understand the backlog and everything. Here is my question though. If updates for daily accounts are seen on Wednesdays.. Why did my wmr update to “still being processed” on a Friday morning? Furthermore.. Does that mean I should see an update now on Wednesday morning (this morning) or not again until this Friday at least?

I also see a lot of people saying if you are under reviee that you will get a different tax topic or that they will tell you to take action or you would have received a letter. Others say that they never were sent a letter until they called or didn’t get an update on wmr signifying that they had been sent a letter. That makes me nervous that my money may be on hold for months. Just keep crossing my fingers for good news.

You all give me hope. Nothing yet but hopeful something might change by 6. Currently “still being processed” on a somewhat positive note I was accepted on the 3rd and have tt152 still and all correct info on the left. Have not received any correspondence from state or irs. I am in michigan and state is also “pending review” est. 03/10 . I hear thats fairly common this year. My girlfriend was also accepted on the third. She has received state as of 2/12 when did was 2/14 . her federal is set to be there this morning. My sister was accepted on the 9th. She has already received her federal about a week ago and her state also “pending review” but est. March 17th. It would seem it is anyone’s guess when things will come through but I am quite impatiently awaiting a refund and I dislike the .lack of information. People with the same messages and similar situations experiencing completely different results. & so many speak as if they know what they say holds true yet 5 people with 5 completely different stories all promising to know they are correct. One big ass headache I just want a date. I don’t even care if my money is here yet I work my butt off I just want to know it’s coming. I understand everything needs processed but they know exactly how much they want to take off my check each week even amidst a shutdown yet come tax time they are “overwhelmed” give me a break.

If you updated on a Friday you’re probably ending in 01 which would make you a daily so you may just update tonight.

I completely understood what you were trying to say… it just hurt my brain a little bit getting there 😜 Whatever day you update depends on your cycle code. Whether or not you are a daily or a weekly and the only way you can get that number is from your transcripts.

La: I’m not sure of my cycle code. I am not able to receive my transcript online as I dont have any type of loan nor do I own a credit card.

Mandyb: highly informative input from your end. Sorry I’m at work at the moment and wearing gloves. Hense the punctuation and spelling failures lmao. I don’t have time to proofread but felt as though the question in general was understandable. Is “still being processed” even considered an update? Or does that just mean Friday would be my day to be processed and they just haven’t got to mine yet? Just seems odd that if daily accounts are updated on Wednesday even if processed on a different day that mine would update wmr on Friday not Wednesday?
