Filed 1/21, with TT and was accepted 1/22. I have HOH, EIC and have dependents claimed.
Only seen one bar on WMR, my transcripts did have a gray star, but have been na for a week.
As of today WMR states ,
We apologize, but your return processing has been delayed beyond the normal timeframe. You can continue to check back here for the most up to date information regarding your refund.
Anyone else seeing this?

Taxes accepted 1/24. Got delay message early feb and today the bars popped back up with refund approved but my taxes were adjusted due to wrong earned income entered on my taxes. It said I would get my adjusted refund by 3/7, checked transcript and had an 846 code with a refund date of 3/2.

Path here. Have delayed message. Filed 1/15 accepted 1/19, delayed message since 2/6 Spoke to irs tax advocate said my return went to error dept and they corrected error on 2/8 and from there is takes up to 8 weeks to receive it. So there it is for me and the delayed message.

I spoke to an IRS rep they said the delay message means I’m in the ERROR department most are a simple fix like ACTC or stimulus amount mistakes. She said watch WMR and check for letters SMH

Yes, people are updating from it. Last week was the first time any of us saw it, so I’m not sure if anyone has actually received their refund, but they are getting codes on transcripts.

Update for future generations:
I filed using my paystub instead of w2 and my w2 was around 1000 less than my final paystub. I was accepted 1/21 and today I updated on my transcripts with codes 766, 766, and 768. If you get the processing delay message don’t worry. It just means your 21 days are approaching and they are letting you know they haven’t forgotten about you. Good luck! -

I think the message is triggered 4 days before day 21. Some people are getting still processing instead
-
February 10, 2022 at 7:21 am #4507723Stacey
I was accepted 1/24 and just got this message today. Transcripts are still N/A. I am not a Path, no EIC. I did get advanced payments and the stimulus lastyear. Really irritating.

These automatic notices have been temporarily stopped until the backlog is worked through. The IRS will continue to assess the inventory of prior year returns to determine the appropriate time to resume the notices.
Some taxpayers and tax professionals may still receive these notices during the next few weeks. Generally, there is no need to call or respond to the notice as the IRS continues to process prior year tax returns as quickly as possible.

The interest is 100% true mine were all messed up from last year took 3 months to get a portion of them I got interest on that, I JUST received the rest of what was owed to me today from last year along with an extra 150$ in interest.

Found a recent article on the interwebs, it says this: “The processing and refund delays seen in 2021 and likely to be repeated in 2022 can be traced in part to pandemic-related challenges, as well as issues with IRS staffing and funding. … If your tax refund is delayed, the IRS is required to pay interest on that refund if it not received within 45 days of filing.Feb 1, 2022
https://money.usnews.com › articles”Wondering if this is a real thing?!

I filed on 1-17-22 accepted 1-19-22. I claimed dependents . I had one bar up until yesterday when it changed to “still processing” and had n/a on return . This morning wmr still has 0 bars and still processing however my transcripts where available with an 846 code that has a date of 2-14-21. Hopefully that means I will have my refund soon.

February 8, 2022 at 6:09 pm #4507157
I received a letter from the IRS as well now.
States that my return is being reviewed and can take 60 days.
Hopefully all the others that are in this same boat aren’t going to get this delay as well.

Same here, I am wondering if it simply because we filed early and it is going to go past the 21 days with the Path act in place. Fingers crossed it is nothing but a waiting message.

I have this message. I filed on 1/20 and was accepted 1/21. Similar to you I had n/a for a week and 1 bar on wmr until this morning. Friday makes 21 days for me. Married filing separately. I used the look back credit and also added my son this year.

Yes, I got the same message on the sixth. I filed HOH and ACTC. I filed on the 7th and was accepted on the 19th. Couldn’t access my transcripts until this morning on the 8th. I am not sure what to think at this point. Besides being wholly upset.
