WMR says Refund MAILED by 2/28

Filed with TT, fees taken out of refund, didn’t ask for early refund or anything. WMR says “Your tax refund is scheduled to be mailed by February 28, 2025. If you do not receive the refund by March 28, 2025, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.” My transcripts say 846 on 2/28. SBTPG shows unfunded still.

Last year We received a check and i don’t even know why when my DD info is on my taxes. Figured maybe a fluke. The routing and checking numbers are correct. If we end up getting a check again this year I am probably going to switch from them.

Whats weird too is we got our State Taxes by DD…IDK Whats up with this but I am frustrated.

I received the same message, which is extremely annoying. Two years ago, I had this happen, and I had to have it re-issued to a new address. If you don’t receive it within a week, it’s a disaster; they will need to wait 30 days, investigate, stop the check, and issue a new check. Then, you should receive it within 5 days. If none of us have received ours by next Saturday there’s a probelm

I spoke to irs today the guy said it’s due to release by or on 2/28 they give it 10 days so from 2/28-10th smh but praying by Tuesday

The IRS lady said she couldn’t tell me if it was sent already. All she could see is it would be mailed BY 2/28…so I’m honestly guessing Friday and I’ll get it by Monday/Tuesday.

I’ve had my same bank Acct for 20+ years and I’ve been in this same house almost 7 years?
I did speak with IRS rep earlier and she looked into it and said she can’t see ANY reason why my check is being mailed instead of DD. She even looked over my whole return and can see where I requested DD and verified the R/A #. There are no notes or anything to show who made the decision or why it was switched. Just shows that my check should be mailed by Friday.

They don’t just mail your refund because of a change ..I’d call and ask …I’ve had lots of changing the last 3 years and not once got a check mailed ..even changed dependents twice in 3 years .

I have had this experience twice. Once was that my address had changed, and another year I switched banks for DD. They don’t like change, and a tax advocate told me any “change” to your details they will flag. That was my experience, not sure if that’s the case for you. Good luck.
