WMR Changed No Bars, No Tax Topic, "Your tax return is still being processed."

So, I filed on 1/19, accepted on 1/19. No movement until Friday of last week when I was able to order my account transcript, but not my return transcript.

I had the one bar and generic Tax Topic message until Saturday morning when it now just says:

“Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.”

It still has my refund amount, but no tax topic, and no more information. I called this morning and was able to have the rep look into it, she said she wouldn’t be overly concerned. Which to be honest, really didn’t help haha.

It is important to note, I did move this year from NY to California for a job and had considerable moving expenses relating to work that caused my refund to go up a little bit this year. Also, when I sign in for transcripts, I have to use my old address.

Anyone have a similar message or have had this appear in the past? If so, what was the outcome? Thanks a lot!

Filed on 2/26/16 accepted the same day had one bar of acceptance all of this time today is my 18th day no bars at all and no tax topic I did call 4 days ago and verified my identity because I seen some people had that issue and they told me it was verified now I don’t know what this means or what’s going on

I filed on March 2 got accepted on 3/4 was able to order both transcripts yesterday afternoon — no bars just the basic being processed ??? any ideas what this means

I’m in the same boat. Bars gone and no tax topics..still shows refund amount though..filed on feb.3rd

Message: received return still processing.

Called irs told owe federal back tax 2013. As of last Friday they had not taken amount owed and applied to past due debt. Told 1-2 week delay.

Received transcripts ordered back on 2/5, but no codes on transcripts. However, I do have an as of date of February 22, 2016 on my account transcript. I’m not sure what that date could have meant.

Really hoping to be in this next group of updates. If I don’t get an update this morning I will be on the phone with the irs when they open. I am past my 21 days so I should get some answers.

Alright. so I was a 1/28 filer/ accepted same day/ refund transcript available 2/13, was told today my return has been finished. called today and spoke to IRS: “youre finished processing.. but for some reason your return was stuck to make sure you didn’t owe anything.. cleared her system she verified I didn’t owe anything. said I should have my refund by next week the latest.”

E filed 1/30, lost bars on 2/5. No tax topic, just a generic message “we received your tax return and it’s being processed.” That’s it with all my info to the left. Finally called on Feb 19th and was told I was getting money deducted due to a mistake on a former year’s return. Luckly I am getting back a sizable refund, and the person I spoke to said that the money would be taken out on 2/29 and the remainder would be sent to my bank in the second week in March. I check wmr just for the hell of it on Monday and the remainder is scheduled for 2/24.

I am in the same boat as well. I was accepted on the 19th and I had one bar and topic 152, then it went to your refund is still being processed :(

What wrong with my taxes

So, I just got off the phone with someone at the IRS- she initially gave me the cookie cutter response, but finally she took a look at it.

Apparently my return hasn’t posted, which means it’s being looked at. It doesn’t mean there is necessarily anything wrong with it, but that they are making sure everything is correct.

I asked her how long the process, she said it could take up to 8 weeks. I said, could it change tomorrow, she said, most likely not. But if there is something wrong with it, they will change the status and send me communication. Call back after the 21 days.

Call IRS , said I’m under random review whatever that means, I ask why.
Just random, I had a new kid , I ask if my I’d was good it was. Up to 8 weeks wtf .
This is only my experience with it sucks hopefully this is not everybody’s

Me!! I had this happen last year AND this year! Last year it took 6 weeks to get mine. After the 21 day mark I immediately called a tax advocate to help get mine pushed through. After that call it took 2 weeks a total of 6. They gave me no real explanation why then. Here we go again this year and I filed the 18th accepted the 19th and and on the 25th of Feb low and behold NOTHING. Like nothing on the app. No tax topic no refund amount just the stupid “Your refund is being processed” blah blah. On the website the only thing different is it does give my amount. I can order Account but no return transcripts. My immediate thought was……..screw this I’m never filing taxes again! Haha. I too am at a loss why and can’t handle this stress.
