Good Morning IGMR Fam!
Is it just me, or is wmr being funny? I tried checking my status on wmr, but it didn’t even let me login, show the bar, etc, just brought me right back to the login screen. Anyone else having this issue? My thought is they are preparing to lift PATH, and they’re doing a major update! Thoughts on this???

I filed my taxes on 1/22/24 , mine were accepted on 1/24/24 and im still waiting. I don’t think WMR is accurate
Were still waiting on ours. But our son filed and it took them a week to send his tex return to him.
We go to the same person every year to file.
This morning the app keep kicking me back to the log page with out any updates or errors. They sure can take it faster then giving it back at this point its been 4 weeks..and nothing not even a update

One thing I discovered, they have a maximum number of times per day that you can check status. It should tell you if you have reached that number. All I can tell you is that mine was accepted by the IRS on Feb 6, and the refund was in my bank account on Feb 17. Of course, I e-filed and used direct deposit.

E filed on 1/31, said return received by IRS since 2/01, still waiting on DD refund to our bank account. No kids, no tax credits or addrnl docs needed. Anyone else still waiting on their refunds for this long?

You guys will like this. The status of my return changed to “refund approved, deposit to be made in your bank by Feb 22 (today is Feb 17). So tonight I needed to go on my banking app for something, and the refund was already in there! Based on the message on IRS2Go, I expected to see it next Thursday, which is the 22nd, at the earliest. I suppose this means as soon as the status changes to “approved,” your refund could show up at anytime. Good luck!

Unless you are a daily, you will not see an update until midnight or later. WMR will not update until transcripts update. WMR is usually behind and updates after some have received the deposit in their account.

The bottom line is this, your return is being processed, whether you can see your status updates or not. I can also tell you from experience that if you e-filed, and if you’re using automatic deposit, the process is very fast, especially for government work. Most of the time mine has been in the bank within 2 weeks after e-filing, but as it states on the site, most are in within 21 days. I don’t remember any of mine taking even that long.

Irs2go has been working for me (tells me my return has been accepted and is being processed), then suddenly it tells me I’m not entering correct info. I’m doing this from memory, but it seems to me that last year this happened between stages. In other words the status was in the process of changing to the next step. Either that, or the system is overwhelmed.

I just want to call down there to the IRS and tell them I am not paying you any more money. Until you give me my money. Every two weeks they receives their money. Without a glitch 😕. Here it is Path Day I have nothing no message same sentence “you have been received” blank transcripts with “your taxes have not been processed”. I’m a weekly..

It gives that error message when too many people are checking their statuses at once, it happened last year as well.

TraciT,
I agree. I’m sure IRS employees are busy bee’s as we speak, especially today. Here’s to hoping we all get great news today about our refunds!

Dayna,
Try to stay calm. I really think it’s just IRS doing such a major update that it’s crashing. Plus, I’m sure lots of tax payers are trying to check their WMR & probably transcripts as well. So, I think most of us are ok, they’re just getting everything up to par and probably starting early on updates. Hopefully by this afternoon we should be able to see what’s happening on WMR. Happy PATH Lifting day to all! -

Tiffany-
You’re not receiving a refund status error message. You’re being looped back to the information input screen because the fetch request for your status page can’t be completed. Don’t stress. An error message regarding your tax situation would appear on the page that is *not* loading right now, and will be readily apparent :)
This is not that. Cheers!

Travishon,
Can you give an example of error? Mine just won’t log in. Yesterday I had topic 152, but it didn’t say error -
