Got off the phone after a third time with a lady who helped out tremendously. She personally looked at my return and went over it. She couldn’t find anything on why my bars went away but then asked about health insurance. I had insurance only for 3 months and stopped because the provider sucked. I owed a penalty of 140 dollars. She said the system is verifying all of the information on the form 8962 from the marketplace. Once the information comes back and is verified they will release the funds and take out the penalty. She said to be please be patient and allow the system another 1-2 weeks to update and the marketplace has made things extremely hard for them. She has no choice and the computers automatically do all this. I have not been reviewed or anything as of yet. If you are waiting and its been awhile make sure you filed all the forms necessary. As mine is waiting for electronic verification yours may be too if you had to go through the marketplace. It gave me a little peace because my 21st day is tomorrow and she went ahead and pulled everything up for me. The first two ladies said they couldn’t find my return under that social and to refile. Third times a charm I guess. Hang in and Ill update tomorrow or Wednesday when call for the after 21 days.

I have called twice and they just keep telling me to wait 21 days. I filed on the 20th. How can I get someone to look me up and talk to me

Well I can see the hold up if it is dealing with the marketplace insurance.

While true, it seems if they do not have record through marketplace they somehow verify you had insurance. Even if you checked the box that said you had insurance or something, everything is getting verified because they want their money out of the refund. Every case is different but she said there are a lot like that where it’s going on 21 days plus.

I’ve had insurance all last year through my work. I remember TT asking me about it when I filed out my taxes. My bars have been missing since Jan 31. I can’t really see them holding all of us up just because they’re checking out if we have insurance or not.
