    always confused

I filed my return with Turbo Tax on 1/16 and it was accepted by the IRS on 1/17. In past years I have gone from processing (which is what WMR had said since the 17th or 18th ) to approved in days and it seems it hit my bank at around 2 weeks. It’s been a week and still says processing. (I claimed the child tax credit but no EITC or ACTC) Out of curiosity I visited the SBBT site to see what it says and it had my entire refund listed as received but no information on when I would get it. Should I assume SBBT actually had it and I’ll have it soon? Does it happen that people sometimes receive their refund without WMR being updated. All WMR days is topic 152 which from what I gather is fairly standard. Can someone help?

sbbt has had the amount expected since you were accepted, but will show the amount you will recieve once they have been notified its approved and then it will go into the pending status. This is something new they are doing this year

Although you filed and was accepted (that really just means received, without gross errors – i.e., names, dates of birth and social security numbers match – the IRS did not open until 01/23. Nothing happened prior to that as far as processing.

I would not worry. I would presume that you will likely be included in the next update – probably Friday night/Saturday morning, and if not probably next Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But I would not worry as of yet.
