With does topic 151 really effin mean?

Ok so my refund status appears to be stuck in “received your return” and has a msg “topic51″,”refund status”.
The first piece of reference I opened said 151 without any take action attached to it meant the IRS has received my return and I will be getting my payment within 10-14 days. Then another website or commented said it meant to are getting said it meant I get an offset! Also the issue was caused by how I filed as,which was head of household because the e-file tax prep. That I was referred by their website advertising free tax preparation for certain low income people to use to file my return via e-filing. The IRS accepted my re but I haven’t got it but I did get the topic 151 and there’s so many versions of what this topic really means ! Help with legit answer someone,anyone…

On the IRS “where’s my refund” site says “take action” and is reviewing our refund and is requesting more info but they are sending a portion of the refund. I believe now I made a mistake in claiming the American opportunity credit. Am I in trouble for this. It says on their site they will be sending a letter in the next 30 days requesting more info. I don’t want to be audited and I agree with the reduced amount they are sending us–the tax topic number is 151

My question is I have 4 kids needing verification, I have utility bills and birth certificates, should I provide anything else?

I got the 151 message, no letter for 2 weeks. I was audited for proof that my children are mine and live with me. Or within 30 days they are going to take the extra credits related to them that I claimed. The children have my last name and I have filed them numerous times. Filed 2/18/21 got letter yesterday after contacting my local rep in Nebraska, it magically showed up yesterday.
