I’m in need of my funds by noon tomorrow and I’m wondering if that is a possibility. I have the TT card with fees. I guess what I’m asking is, will the money be showing in SBTPG tonight with fees taken tonight and then sent to our banks that should show up tomorrow? Also, does anyone know how long after SBTPG takes the fees do they send the funds to TT? Like, do they show up within the hour or two or does it take like another 24 hours? Anyone have a time line for them. They are weird. Everyone else is getting deposits but SBTPG is still not showing anything

Good morning All, woke up to TPG saying it received my refund and paid it out to my tax man! I bank with Chase so I most likely won’t see it until tonight. I’m still not happy until it’s in my account, but at least it’s getting closer. I’ll keep you updated. I’m on the west coast btw.

@willbeas – you are incorrect. It will show tomorrow afternoon/evening (5:30 pm ET generally). It will then go to wherever you bank and trickle down from there. Traditional banks will be the morning of the 27th (early am), cards that do not hold (Netspend, Serve, etc.) will release as soon as an hour or two later. So early cards will see it tomorrow afternoon/evening (depending on your time zone). The 2/22 group had the same thing happen as has always happened in the past.

They usually release the funds 1-2 days before the official date the irs provides on wmr.

I’ve used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Always had fees taken out, it was always on SBTPG website the day BEFORE my DDD. This has always been my experience.

Posters in the 2/22 DDD thread, whom had fees taken out, were seeing theirs posted on SBTPG website in the early morning hours of 2/21. I went back and looked at the thread.. I’m waiting on mine through SBTPG also..

it all depends if your bank had prepaid banking regulations or not you can get it early but I can assure everyone you will not see your funds posted on sbtpg until the 27th the day of deposit. This is from all MY past experiences as well as being in this forum.

Got my deposit at 1048 PM last year a day before my dd, using tpg. So this year itll be the same if they dont flag your account for unusual activity make you wait a additional 7 to 10 days to verify or if your bank rejects it because your middle initial is missing. 😣

I think that is just conjecture unpatiently waiting. All the other evidence is pointing at tomorrow, or Wednesday.

SGBT claims to not hold the refunds but they do. You see it every year the NetSpend people and others with no fees taken out get there’s 2 days before TT and SBTGP. Several others got theirs last night and today. The Treasury disbursed it all at the same time so they are definitely sitting on ours until the last minute. It won’t show recieved until the last minute when they send it. That’s why I won’t be using them next year.

Unpatiently waiting

I hope this isn’t true.
“SBBT will NOT deduct fees or release 2/27 ddds, until 2/26.”

From their website:
There is no delay associated with the Refund Transfer and it may actually help you get your money faster, depending on your circumstances. The answer depends on whether or not you have a bank account. Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.

this isn’t your typical tax refund season by any stretch guys.Lets not rule out ANYTHING. lol ..I think at very least we will begin to see that the funds are at the santa barb. bank and being processed later today into Tues. I have a credit Union, so ANYTHING is possible. 80% OF MY REFUND is gone already on debt that has piled up. The utility companies are hammering us.

I jave been filing with Turbo Tax the same way for a few years using a Purpose card, which is a netspend. The last two years the refund was in my net spend account the day before my ddd. Looking at my deposit history, last year my deposit was in my account at 6:21 pm EST, the year before was 6:14 pm EST, So I say it will be the same this year.

I would be thinking the same but I didn’t see a ton of people get their refund early with that round of 2/22 DDD like a lot of us 2/27 DDD’s did last night, so I think we may see it a day early even tho we paid fees! 🥳 trying to stay positive 😂 -

At least we could possibly receive our refunds tomorrow. I freaking need my money. I bet we’ve all learned our lesson with turbotax and their fees. Lol

Talked to Greendot which Turbotax prepaid uses. However, the rep said the early DD is for payroll not tax refunds. This is the only reason I decided to use the card. Never again.

It’ll be tomorrow afternoon/evening before you get your money unfortunately. We might see an update after 5:30 ET tonight that the funds were received, but it is a wait and see at this point. 2/22 got their money the afternoon/evening of 2/21 through SBTPG, so it will probably hold true for us as well. :-(

If you go back to tax season 2018 and read over the threads regarding sbtg…majority of them did not update with info about deposits until the day before their DD and then they received their deposits a few hours after.

They most likely will not release any funds until 2:30 pm Pacific time. Moot point to check until then! Im stressing to, this has been the longest tax season for those with a return
-
February 25, 2019 at 3:28 pm #4302114Chyna
The refund is being sent to the turbo tax prepaid card which I assume is not a traditional bank
-
February 25, 2019 at 2:59 pm #4302039Impatientlywaiting88
Do you have a traditional bank?
