Why does my transcript say received 4/15/2021?!

@taxman does the process date of 4/12/2021 mean anything with cycle code 20211205 or is everyone have the same date?

From my understanding the 4/16 is when we need to check our transcript for the update I had a 4/15 as well and nothing my tax guy explained to me 4/15 it should be completed by then not dd.I have a 4/15 or 4/26 which ever comes first so hopefully tomorrow we all will see 846 on our transcripts

I’m in the same boat. Filed my taxes early, accepted on 2/13. I haven’t received return yet or the 3rd stimulus. Found my tax transcript on irs.gov. Thankfully it shows they have it, received 4/15 ???, but still no refund or stimulus. Any ideas??? Thank you!

That is exactly what you are looking for. Your refund date is Wednesday of next week.

@taxman, i dont know how to read the transcript. ive never looked at one before .

is it this??? https://ibb.co/FzK7KMc does that mean thats my date? thats at the top of the last page….nothing else is on the last page of the account transcripts. or where else do i look for it?

They do show that. When there is an 846 code on the Account transcript, that will be the refund date.

@taxman i was under the impression that transcripts would show when the money is released? if, not what good is checking them?

Those numbers really do not mean anything to us. They are “End” dates used on the IRS side. My transcripts, and those of virtually all of the people I file for will have a date similar. It is not a representation of actual process times.
