I don’t understand why a lot of people that have recently filed have already received their refunds. While the people that filed between the beginning of January and around the 25 are still left with only one bar on wmr. I have only seen a few of us early filers get our refunds. Its really frustrating to see people getting refunds in less than a week especially when some of us have been waiting since the 19th or earlier.

Well common sense and logic do not apply to the IRS as they are a government agency. Most people, companies, and such, if behind on their work would start with the work that is the oldest and was there first and start catching up. Not the IRS.

I didn’t file as early as you guys, but filed and accepted the 29th. Agreed. It’s super frustrating to now see people filing as late as 2/1 getting DDD’s while the rest of us are stuck with a broken pizza tracker.

Right?!? Why?!? I thought that filing early was before the opening date… Which after the 2013 9011 Code happened I said never again… I filed days after it opened and still sitting here with nothing…… just a nice code of 152… and the 21 day message.. I understand they get behind… But if you are behind isn’t fair to work on the ones you got first… Not the ones that filed two days ago and already have DD… WTH?!?

I filed on the 23rd after they started accepting and I’m still sitting at one bar. While people who filed on the 1 of Feb are already getting dd, its getting ridiculous

Usually, in my experience, early filing is a grave mistake.

I did it one time and never again, I file after they are officially accepting.

Its really frustrating. I filed 1/26, IRS says they got it on 1/28. So I have no idea when to expect mine. I have seen people who said they filed on 1/30&1/31 and already have pending deposits.
I am sure my education credit has something to do with it, they said there were holding back some of them but not all.
But honestly who knows, doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to how they approve people. Dates don’t seem to mean much to them. :(

That is a question that we may never know the answer to. It seems whatever their procedure for processing and who, what, when and where are flawed and there is not a first come first serve method to their madness.

No need to be angry or lose it with the IRS. Maybe it’s time to look at deductions throughout the year and have less money taken so your see more in your paycheck. Having a little money once per year is overrated and short-lived.

AGREED. I usually always filed at the end of the month. i was never in a hurry, never really needed it, but this year, I desperately need it, so I filed as early as I could expecting to get it sooner. NOPE. And I’ll never be a guinea pig for the IRS again. This is ridiculous. And they won’t even tell us anything. If it was us owing them, they’d expect money right away.
