I usually file at the beginning of Feb.

Always tempted to file earlier but it seems like early filers seems to wait longer.

I said earlier I was going to wait but decided to go ahead and filed today. Filed through turbotax…I’m a Pather so now it’s a waiting game.

PATH ONLY REFERS TO ACTC AND EITC! NOT CTC!

I have the CTC, refund issued for 2/1. It’s only a delay if the amount you put on your return is different from what they have in their records.

So more than likely if you got the ctc you’ll have to wait. I filled anyway because I wanted to get it over with. My federal was accepted 1.26.2022.

                Now the waiting begins.

I’m waiting til the first week in February. My earnings record on my ssa account isn’t matching with my AGI for last year because I had 2 jobs and so far only 1 is recorded. I’m giving the employer with the missing wages the benefit of the doubt and waiting til after the 31st. Hopefully by then everything has caught up. I know from a previous experience that when your return AGI doesn’t match your ssa earnings you get stuck in review limbo.

i posted a similar question. But i have credits. I know they wont start on mine until 2/15. I was wondering if I should wait until 2/15 to file

@scotty – why would you wait if you got the CTC?

Not necessarily as long as all your information is still the same from the prior years you shouldn’t have any issues filing early you could also get lucky and end up in on the test batches this year is going to be pretty hectic my advice would be to file early unless you received the child tax credits.
