Those letters MEAN NOTHING. Just a delay tactic. My return was perfect last year and i got my refund in JUNE.

Still waiting. Ive transcripts update on Fridays and wmr in Saturdays. I still check my transcripts everyday. I have a tc 570 on mine because they havent received my 2015 return which they signed for on 2/3 because i have a read receipt. I have a 971 for 3-30-20 but by then my 6 weeks will be up for my 2015 return i mailed in

@Texasone, if the IRS wants you to ID verify, they’ll send you a letter in the mail; it will contain a control number you must use. If they don’t send the letter, then you don’t need to worry about IDV (generally speaking).

I can’t view my transcripts online & I gave up on expecting any changes soon. I checked this morning, not expecting anything, and WMR updated with a DDD of 03/18.

I’m still waiting. Transcripts haven’t arrived & WMR hasn’t changed.
Honestly, I’m simply not worried about it. I just didn’t want you guys to think that I received my refund and bailed. Right now there are more important things to worry about. There are people suffering from the virus in our area, my mother refuses to stay home (she is 68) from work. We have a 10 year old at risk. I’m genuinely concerned about my community, my state, the country, & the world. Stay safe everyone & pray.

Was in 60 day review. I quickly corrected the mistake by amending the return. (That alone should have taken 16 weeks.) I sent certified mail so someone there had to sign for it. I made as an actual topic on this forum called, “How I went from 60 Day Review to 846 code in under 60 Days”.
My transcript update was this morning to an 846 Refund Issued code 03/18/20. Tomorrow WMR should update as IRS stated this past Monday.

@Mimi, if yesterday your WMR updated from “…waiting to be processed” (which is what I say it should say instead of “sill being processed”) to “We have received your return and it is being processed,” then I believe tomorrow you’ll get your DDD for 3/18 on WMR.
That’s how it went for me last week. Keep the faith.

Still waiting…..not cool. Just got my bill for Turbo Tax stating they were not able to get their fee since they have not refunded us yet and will auto draft out of my account and not out of the refund as planned. Family broke and counted on that to live and get by till were on our feet again.

Anybody else get their letter in today saying their holding refund until they review their return. CP05
I got mine today. What is your AS OF date?
IRS lady told me I was getting a CP05 because they haven’t received anything on my employers end and that there is no action needed on my end.
Accepted 1/29 EITC, same dependents…TT152…. just ridiculous.

No known changes, no update on WMR & ordered transcripts Saturday (03/07). I’m going to wait until they get here before I call the IRS back. I can’t really see the point in calling now, will likely receive no information, at least if I have a new code or no changes I will know where to sway the conversation.

Called Monday (3/2) and said my return was pulled for Manual Processing (not sure what that means) assured by agent that it shows no errors, no letters being mailed.
Still waiting….will call again Tuesday if no updates on WMR… -

No change for me. Definitely calling back Monday even tho the last call the woman made a point to tell me there was no need to call back…calling a TA afterward because this is ridiculous.

I was accepted 1/27. I had bars til 2/15.. then path mess, then changed 2/16 to the generic message of being processed. Been same mess since. Ordered my 2nd set of transcripts 2/28 and got them yesterday via mail.

@Quianey they started processing the 2nd you should have an update because mine had as of 3/9 and I filed January 29th and got a DDD this morning and transcript updated yesterday. I pray you’re in the next bunch really because with this tax season I felt like I was in an abusive relationship with them and didn’t know when it was going to end😳😑

ProudFatherOF1, the 4464C and the CP05 inform tax payers of a review of their returns. You’re right that they’re not related to ID verification.
On the other hand, no, the 5071C IS related to IDV. In fact, that’s what the 5071C letter is for.

Wage sorry I can not type -
Accepted 1/31 no child credits no EIC. Got still processing tt 152. Called IRS the y said no issues wait . I waited about 1 week called IRS finally told me that Turbo tax did not transmit my return so it is actually correct I g itself and it may take 8 weeks from my exile date. She said should have refund end March. Transcript shows n/a and safe and account transcript show no return filed. So I guess I just wait. Called tax advocate she said it is true that it is correcting itself

Files 1/27 and excepted same day. Like most people my WMR bars disappeared mid February. I received a 60 day review letter 2/27 dated 2/20 said to wait up to 60 days for a review. Cycle code 20200705. Processing date 3/2 with a 570 code for 3/2 and other dates say 4/15 no 971 code. Woke up today 3/6 and my transcripts updates overnight to 571 release on 3/2 and 846 with full refund amounts 3/11…

No known update. I’m weekly & cannot view transcripts online. I can’t order transcripts again until tomorrow, when WMR should update if there is a change. If there is no WMR update for me, I’ll order the transcripts in the morning. Seems WMR isn’t updating for some & is for others so its possible that I won’t know anything until the transcripts arrive.
Just wanted to give a quick update, didn’t want you guys to think that I got my money & ran :)

Transcripts just updated to a 571, and 846…refund issued 3/11… filed 1/24, accepted 1/27…cycle code 20200705…both credits claimed…not saying everyone is going to update but I’m pretty confident that unless there is something wrong with ur refund these “reviews” are being lifted weekly.

Where are y’all finding these 2020…. codes at? My transcript shows N/A. But my account t transcript is up so g as my wage account . Which both say no return filed but on my account transcript it has an “as of date February 24 2020. What is trat as of date on my account transcript??????

@Quainey, I think WMR lets you check only a limited number of times per day. Maybe it’s 5. I’m not sure, because I don’t think I’ve ever tried it more than 4 times in a single day. Whatever the limit is, I think it locks you out after that number of attempts.
Have you tried calling the refund hotline?

@Gofigure: I only have one W-2, about half of my co-workers are in the same situation. But I don’t think it is my employer, it is the SSA & IRS. My date is 03/09, so a week after you.

Update: Called IRS, under 60 day review for wage verification.
I am 100% certain that it was reported correctly on my return, so I’m left to assume that this is totally random and it will work itself out. The question is when, the answer is when they get to it. Nothing to do but wait, so looks like I’m waiting.

I’m waiting for a pin for my transcripts they couldn’t verify my phone number….I’m sure I’ll get that pin in time for next tax season lol…what’s funny is the last time I had a different phone number is about 8 years ago so that’s how long I haven’t had to worry about my taxes this is the first year trying for the transcripts in 8 years

Filed & accepted on 2/4 still processing with tt152 popped up around the 2/17. Called the IRS at the 21 day mark and was told I was on hold because of EITC and was told to check my status Saturday 2/29. Still nothing as of 3/1. No letters in the mail, no ddd. Can’t talk to a human on the weekends. I can’t get mad till I’m blue in the face, but I’m not in control so I’m just going to hope for the best at this point.

My theory is us January filers are at the bottom of the pack… A lot of the ddd 3/4 seem to be early Feb filers some late Jan I think but a lot of early Feb we may be the next update

Yeah still on “received and it’s being processed” filed 1/24, accepted 1/27. Waiting on a pin in the mail to access transcripts. They said i have a processing date of 3/9. If i haven’t received a letter or an update by then then I’m going to get a TA too. No red flags have been detected and a letter has been transcribed on 2/10 but hasn’t been sent yet 🙄. People getting ddd give me hope though things are moving and most of them were in the same boat as us.

Mine says still processing. Same kid same job same tax return for the past 10 years. can’t verify information for transcripts cuz I don’t have Auto loan mortgage credit card or any of the other information they request and I don’t see the point of ordering it through the mail. I called Friday lady told me I’d be getting a letter that I didn’t have to do anything but just wait. big old joke really.

2/27 5071C ID verification; letter dated 2/24.WMR continues to say, “…still being processed,” with no codes or topics. (At least, so it said last time I checked earlier this evening. I think I checked 4 times today, so I’ll hold off on checking again until tomorrow.
