      I know people with the same DDD get their refunds at different times depending on their bank and fees. What I’m wondering is how many days ahead of the DDD does the irs release the money?

            I believe the IRS sends them to your bank immediately. I have a DDD of 2/7. On 2/2 it hit my bank account as a “pending” status with a deposit date of 2/7. My bank will not move it from pending to available until 2/7 because of the deposit date.

            So even with it being sent immediately, I can see it, it just will not be available funds until 2/7. This is, of course, dependent on how your bank handles ACH deposits. Every bank is different.
