When does IRS start accepting tax returns in 2025?

UPDATE: Announced to open 1/27

The IRS has yet to announce when it will start accepting tax returns, but we anticipate it will be on January 27th. Our refund chart will help you know when to expect your tax refund based on that opening date. We will update it if they announce that they are opening sooner.

  We expect HUB testing to start this week and some early filers may get accepted.

  I sent mine in with turbo tax on 1/8 at like 11:00pm pacific time, but it hasn’t been accepted by IRS yet. Still shows pending.
