What is going on??? Its been 23 days no update!!

hello,

we filed on 1/31 but return was not “received” (according to WMR) until 2/10. There have been no updates since then. WMR still on one bar with TT 152. we do not have EIC or anything else that would have caused any delays in filing.

I can only order the Account transcript and it has my information (name, address, ssn) but only 0.00s and says “no return filed” there are no codes but there is an “AS OF: 03/06/2017” what does this mean? is anyone else in the same boat? This is the first time that this has happened to us, it has never taken this long. Tons of people we know filed way after we did and have already got their refunds.

Should I call the IRS? It has been 23 days since we first filed, but only 12 days since we got the “received” indication on WMR.

Would it let me know if we are under review or if I need to submit any more information? Our income and expenses have not changed in several years.

okay ill call them….. I just thought of something else. when we first filed, I put my married name on the return, but have not got my SS card changed, so it was rejected and then sent back and then was received on the 10th. would this cause another delay?

I guess that if they needed me to verify my ID that would make sense since I put the wrong name the first time. thanks so much for yall’s input!

I’m same boat. I sent 2/10 or my tax guy did and no updates.

Call them. I waited a long time on processing before I called them and it turns out I needed to id verify. My letter took 17 days from the day they mailed it for me to receive it.

Also when I filed, I got an email message with a confirmation code from the tax filing website I used that my return was accepted a few hours later.. however no info showed up on the WMR site until a few days later. I think the WMR site takes a while to update.

I can’t help you with any info on transcripts, as I never ordered any since the process seemed to be moving forward for me.

You should call them. It is possible they sent a letter and you didn’t get it. You may need to ID verify. I filed 2/8 with EIC/ACTC and received my money today.

Please let us know what they say when you call.
