      First off,

      I’ve been a member here for 4 years, and it never ceases to amaze me how year after year folks come here asking for advice on their tax codes, or about why WMR hasn’t updated like the rest of us have or whatever, good legit concerns, that most of us TRY to explain and answer the best we can. No that’s not my complaint, what IS my complaint is this, when these know it all newbies come about here, telling these people that there’s more than likely this issue or that or that they’re being audited or an error was made or a letter is in the mail!!

      Why do that??? If you don’t know, they shut the hell up and stop trying to worry others about something you don’t know anything about!
      After filing taxes for almost 30 years myself and watching this forum for 4 years and having my own experiences with the IRS, the one thing I can tell you all is this, they’re extremely unpredictable, no 2 situations are the same and when there is an issue that occurs, no one, including the IRS has an exact answer on when it’ll be fixed!

      That’s really all I have to say, other than folks, relax, especially fellow Pathers, no need in letting nonsense from trolls to upset you!

      Have a great day and please someone enjoy a cold beer for me!

          @redacted Thank you for this post! You have been very helpful in every post I’ve seen of yours!

          @elled6 totally agree about your likelihood comment! Hopefully we’ll all be fine!

            @redacted, I went in search for all the 1/31, PATH filers posts. Came across this.

            You’re welcome!

              @redacted

              I could not have said it better myself! I keep reading these posts where someone will say, “that is not good,” and I sit here and shout at the screen like, “really?!?!?” Why freak someone out even more, especially since as you said, each situation is extremely unique. I tend to think if one thing is happening to everyone then it can not be that much of an issue because what is the likelihood that all these people have the same thing wrong?

              This time of year has everyone on edge, checking WMR, calling the hotline, searching transcripts, checking bank accounts, pretty much exhausting every option possible to see if we can figure out what is going on and then all of the sudden you get that date and forget all about it until next year (that is if you haven’t been put through the ringer by the IRS and scarred for life.)

              I am with redacted B. on this. Sit back, chillax and lets try and life each others spirits. Even though we ask questions with potentially bad answers, does anyone want to hear it? I prefer an honest I don’t know, lets search the internet and compare notes.

              Good luck to all!

                  It’s a waiting game. Popcorn, beer, wine, coffee, tea, ice cream and keeping up w everyday norm is what gets ya through.

                  Cheers!!!
