What does the "DATE" mean on 846 Refund line???

Can someone explain or verify it is NOT the DDD? Here is that section of my account transcript. Folks translate the Cycle to 2/18 DDD…but why the date?

I have the same 3/2 dates on my transcript in that category. However, on 2/12 WMR stated that my check would be mailed by 2/13. I also got a paper notice from the IRS that it would be mailed by 2/13. But when I saw that 3/2 date I started to freak out…
Then when i went back into WMR it states “we have received your return and it is being processed….” the status bars which were there just 2 days ago are gone….

SO I was officially freaking out until I read some other posts on here with people going through the same thing with the status bar disappearing.
User who had a send by date of 2/11 DID receive their checks by 2/13 at least from the few I’ve read on here.

I almost wish I did not look up the transcripts. They are freaking me out since I don’t understand how to read them correctly…..

The 3/2 date isn’t meaningless, it’s the date your paper check would be mailed if you didn’t use DD.

The 2-18 date is correct, as verified with my ex, who works for the IRS. The date code translation that you’re seeing on this site is correct.

I have cycle 20150604 but the same March 2nd date. I got my update today that it would be deposited on tues the 18th. so yours will prob be wed since it’s 05

thinking about it it would be real nice to confirm that the “Date” is not the DDD date – the “cycle” is teh DDD date…BUT….the problem is once people get their DDD and DD they no longer hang around here!

I also noticed teh tabs dont translate in my message above so just to clarify:

the line with CODE 846 “Refund amount” has a CYCLE of 20150605 and a DATE of 03-02-15…assuming the CYCLE translates to 2-18-2015 as I’ve read here, are we sure or can anyone confirm that teh DATE is meaningless as far as DDD goes????
