I submitted my retun 03/07 and it was accepted same day. Transcript as of date was 03/15 on 03/11, then changed to 03/29. What does this mean?

Anthony (and all), I’m sorry, but that is incorrect. The As of date refers to no such thing.

The As of date appears to be for internal IRS accounting. Whenever they look at your account, they update the As of date to show that X amount of interest and penalties have accrued to that point. The As of date is for a future date three or four Mondays away..

If the IRS opens and views your account today, you’ll see an As of date of 4/5/2021 on your transcripts tomorrow (in all likelihood).

Generally that processing date is when the IRS should (key word “should”) have your return completed with a DDD BY. Some will get a DDD before that date, some after. It also depends on your cycle code as well, whether you are a daily or weekly.

Overall it doesn’t mean much because it can change.
