Can anyone please explain this? completely confused? Weekly and Daily and how do i know.

I filed mines on 1/19 got accepted on 1/20. I have been stuck on one bar since then nothing has changed I filed at hrb. I have the code 201603. So does that mean I should get mines tuesday next week. I usually get them on the first Friday of Feb but not this year. Now my one bar has disappeared. But according to the chart I should get mines on the 5th. Idk what’s going on. Has anyone from Michigan received theirs yet.

I am a little bit confused last year my code was 20150605, does this mean that mine will not be processed until next week and I should expect a refund on 2/18? Thanks for your help.

This is only the 3rd time im comoleting my taxes, the first and second time i got my refund around the 13th of february, so the second week, bht those two years i filed on the 31st of january, this year is the first time i filed early, does that mean i will most likely receive it on the 12th? I was accepted on the 19th, still one bar and cant get transcript with new or old address

So for any weeklies… I tried to order last years (2014) account transcripts to see if I am truly a weekly and it came in the mail yesterday and it said I would need to call the irs verification process and once I verify info then they will mail it… anyone else have to do that? A little confused. I got my refund last year on a Wednesday but it wasn’t until April because of the id theft so I’m not sure if that was purposefully or did it just happen to fall on a Wednesday because I had to hound and hound them to give me my money.. any opinions appreciated

Just wondering if any of us 05 people got approved yet. According to the charts we should be process I g this week. So weird enough if Thursday is their first day to process for the week, i lost my bars and topic code this past Thursday. Which also seems to be the first day for 05 processing. Just wondering if any of 05 people in the same situation still or have you had movement. Also. I could order my account transcript but not return on Thursday also.

I recently looked at my old transcripts and I believe I am a weekly. I think my 2013 cycle code ended in 05. Last year I got my deposit on a Wednesday. I just went to see if I could order transcripts for this year and it finally let me order my account transcript. My BF though had his parents address and this year he used our address. Well it won’t take his old address anymore but it still won’t let me order his. This being said I think that we will both have our updates tomorrow ( if it updates cause i have had it not update before) and have our money by the 3rd.

I hate being an 05,it takes me too long for my deposits every year! . wonder how they figure out what cycle we are? and wish i could change cycles every year. ..or does that happen?

@Kaylee I 100% agree with everything you have said also. I file always right at open day because I know my refund always takes so long. Being an 05 cycle I do not expect my return to hit till the 9th of Feb. Even though I loose sleep over this and tend to check this forum, transcripts and WMR every second I can just hoping something changes.

I don’t know what to tell anyone how to check your cycle code except order last year’s return (2014) and wait 5 to 10 days in the mail for it. I would definitely order this current one for next year to have on file.

We all got to tell our selves that there is other people like us out there as we all see now. It truly sucks waiting and watching all these people get done before you.

@Alabamagal87 No, that is not a cycle code. A cycle code is 6 digits. First 4 designates the year (2016), second 2 is week that year and last 2 is the day of the week.

01 = Friday
02 = Monday
03 = Tuesday
04 = Wednesday
05 = Thursday

IRS week begins on Friday and ends on Thursday.

You wouldn’t be able to know if you’re daily or weekly without looking at your tax transcripts.

@Christine You are pretty much dead on. I’ve received WMR update on Saturday last year. The last few years, I’ve always received my refund on Wednesdays. I’m also weekly.

Does your submission code have your cycle in it? I am trying to find my cycle but don’t have a transcript from last year. However in my submission ID from last year I had a 20150204 in it, and ironically I got my refund on 2/4. This year it’s 20160194, so confused

Ok my cycle date if I understand is 201604. I literally have myself a headache looking at those charts. My confusion is I filed at 1 a.m on the 25th..so I should update this week. If not I’m soo confused any insight into this would be appreciated

Although IRS opened tax season on January 19 and began accepting returns, they didn’t begin to process the returns until January 22. Cycles 01, 02 and 03 are dead cycles. They get recycled into cycle 04. Tomorrow is the last day for cycle 04 so those who submitted their returns by the 23rd should see some kind of movement by Friday morning if on a daily cycle. Those on a weekly cycle should see movement by Saturday morning. Saturdays and Sundays are non-production days so no movements should be seen Sundays or Mondays.

To see if you’re on a weekly cycle or daily cycle, you have to look at your tax transcript from the previous years. If it consistently ends in 05, you’re on a weekly cycle. If the numbers aren’t consistent, you’re on a daily cycle.

To my best ability for years of being on a weekly cycle. Our updates come on Saturdays. I have researched my own past taxes and I have had mine deposited on Wednesday. Supposedly I do believe like they finish say on Thursday they have 4 days to deposit which puts your money to you on a Wednesday if you are weekly. Seems all weekly cycles have deposits on Wednesday. Thursday or Friday we should be able to order our transcripts and Saturday get the WMR updates then Wednesday a deposit. I do not work for the IRS but I have been audited and for the past 7 years been on a weekly cycle. My refund has had several delays for reason they can not answer. I just don’t don’t which Wednesday we will get them but I’m 90% sure we won’t see our updates on WMR or through our tax file bank till Saturdays. Btw I filed the 18th accepted the 19th. I live in Texas I used efile.com and I check their bank they use (EPS Financial) 24/7. This has just been my input and experience so please don’t quote me :)

I looked at the post of irs updating schedule seems I filed in accepted on 15 cycle date of 201602 for processing date for production schedule cyle is 201603 which state are a dead cycle but was going to mix in with 4 cycle that IRS on now 21-28 201601-201604 should be this week as I understand

Hope this helps. You may have to look at these charts over and over to understand, I sure did. It helped me since my cycle codes ALWAYS end in 05!
