I am here quite frequently but I never post anything. My story I submitted on the 27th approved on the 28th have EITC and ACTC (or whatever its called) and I’ve been waiting for a while. I called IRS after 21 days and got no help. Eventually I was told there was a small offset that would be claimed (but I was worried it was from student loans but it was something different). I finally got a DDD of 02/27. I work overnight so it made me anxious sitting here waiting for an update for days that seems like weeks. Tonight around 3am I went to lunch and came back and something just told me to check my account and VOILA! it was in my account. I use a prepaid card through Greendot and they pay you early anyways. My employer pays on Fridays and I get paid around this time every pay period. So for those still waiting just keep holding on. I would however like to thank most of you and this “blog” for being informative an helping to keep me calm. Everyone knows tax season can be stressful and from all the reports ive read this year refund amounts have been down 15% and some people ended up owing money which is unfortunate in both cases. But I relied on a lot of the information ive seen here and they interactions between most of you. Thank you all so much for keeping my mind at ease. Congrats on the baby and all the other wonderful things happening to many of you. Please be patient HELP IS ON ITS WAY! (＾＾)

If it says it scheduled for the 27th chances are that is the actual date they will be sending the deposit some get lucky and get it sooner others will have to wait. I have wells fargo dd is supposed to be same day . but with all their recent b.s i will be calling tomorrow to hassle them

@angela call immidiatly its probably just id verify since its 152 topic. But call to make sure. If you used a place like turbotax taxslayer creditkarma and dont have a tax id pin number ( not your social) this is the problem.

And if it is id verify tell them you want to be issued a tax pin for future verifacation

The irs deposits everyday of the week well actually irs doesnt deposit but the us treasury does you could get it earlier or on time it just depends on their computer at their pffice

Checked wmr and it finally updated today. Now it has a few for Feb 27th.

It says:

Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 27, 2019.

Actually taking advice and being patient, I can’t check my transcripts because they are quick to error my account if I get something wrong so ive been playing the waiting game. I never called the irs just because I know they’re swamped with calls and I may her hung up on or put on hold but around 4:13 checked my irs.gov and it still said we have received your refund it is being processed got disappointed. Now checking at 4:43 I have a ddd of 2/27. Good luck to everything I wish nothing but good news, also never again am I filing early lol I’ll wait a little while

From what I’ve seen the update is “typically” between 3am-6am (Saturday morning.) I’m not 100% sure how much accuracy there is to that but I’ve seen it stated several different places.

My transcript code was 150, cycle 20190605 with 2/25/19.

Sorry to hear that Tawny. I know how that feels. 2 young children driving me to extinction sometimes. A TIP; Always use your computer when calling. I use my google free calls when i call and cook, wash dishes, play with kids whilst i’m waiting for real persoon at IRS. My computer is in a safe place where kids don’t smash.

Whoever gets the ” still processing” message needs to call irs immidiatly your refund is on hold pending verification or further info

“Being processed” just means no holds or flags awaiting approved status. So we just get to sit and wait

I had the same issue. No Capital One, AmEx nor BOA cards would work, but I have a card that I got in desperation (terrible product, ridiculous fees) from Indigo Bank and that info worked for verification, go figure. Anyway, the moral of the story is keep trying. If you are using student loan info, I know the account numbers can vary. They may show different on your statement than on your credit report from what I’ve seen.

Hi guys I’m in the same boat as you we just have to be patient and let the system do it’s thing. Still processing literally means it’s getting ready for approval no audits unless you get a letter then you should respond directly to the irs. We go through the same process year after year same process just a different approach thank God we are getting them and not at all GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN think about the ones processing with no income working for free yes we all got bills to pay I do but if there was a complete shutdown then guess what….???? I got my state return this morning and filed with credit karma. I didn’t get any updates from CK or my bank. It was just sitting there I checked the state website and it showed me my funds were released today and depending on my bank will be there within 5 business days. I am assuming that the same thing will happen with federal returns. No update on wmr website and my transcript code updates next week

I’m in the same boat. I called the IRS yesterday, I have a cycle date of 20190505, processing date 02/18/19 and the representative told me that I should see an update on the website by tomorrow. My friend has the same message and when she called they just gave generic information in regards to the PATH act and she’s not affected by PATH. I honestly believe that there are temps answering the phones and they are giving generic information because they have no clue what is going on. What I do know if that both my friend and I used Turbotax. I’m hoping that they are not the issue here.

I’ll check the website tomorrow and hope that there is an update.

I looked at my last year’s transcript and it said process date 2/26/18 – I then looked at last February’s bank statement and saw it was deposited on the 23rd. Hey everyone, I’m new to this forum and I’ve been following it for a couple of days now without saying anything. We are PATHERS and we filed with TurboTax on 1/28/19 and was accepted on 2/2/19. Last week we updated to the “we have received your return and it is being processed” and it hasn’t updated yet. We requested our online transcript a few weeks ago and have been waiting to get our code in the mail so we can look at it. Well today I got a little impatient so I decided to call the IRS and see if we had any delays or holds. The agent I spoke to was very nice and I was patient with her knowing that they are being bombarded with calls and probably a bunch of grouchy people. She understood and respected me and never put me on hold one time. I gave her some information and within 2 or 3 minutes she told me that there were no holds or any issues with our return and that the latest that we would receive our update for a DD would be the 27th.l and that a lot of the batches are being randomly selected this year due to the chaotic season from the shutdown. So I just wanted to let any concerned people know that they are working on our returns and we will get our refunds. Just stay positive.

OK FINALLY I CAN BE AT PEACE!!! After I was done holding the rep collected all my info then told me to hold while he looked at my status in their system since it’s been over 21 days for me seeing as I filed on Jan 21st… The rep told me my refund looked great no issues and WMR should update sometime this week… but that the irs is telling them to inform us that we shouldn’t expect refunds until the 27th ( Even those who already have a date he said their messages also states if funds aren’t their by the 27th to call them because that’s the latest) but it’s possible they could come before for us who don’t have a DDD YET so I’m praying for them to come THIS week if NOT at least I know nothings wrong with my refund my DDD is on the way and regardless I’ll receive by the 27th of this month!!!

So the consensus seems to be that “being processed” means that you are waiting on the computers to catch up, and will see an update or a deposit soon. On the other hand “still being processed and a refund date will be provided when available” tends to mean you are getting some request for additional info or someone has to review manually. Does this sound right for what others have found?

Last two years I got my return on 2/22, before that they came earlier because I did not have the PATH delay before having kids.

My PATH message disappeared Saturday and changed to “being processed” while showing the return amount. I have not gotten my CA return yet either but I suspect they are taking it because of the registration on a broken car and that’s just fine by me, saves me a trip to the DMV. So hopefully a little luck and I see something change soon, looking forward to the deposit, I sleep better when I have a bigger cushion.

I think I am just paranoid because I moved, had another kid and the return is more substantial than I have ever gotten, but again I never filed with two kids before either.

The day it is accepted is the day your 21 days start. And that is directly from irs office lines.
Regardless of the credits or path filing…

Mine was pulled randomly in test batch my 21 days started the 21st. Of jan.

I was instructed by the floor supervisor of the irs office to call back after the 18th if no update . i dont talk to regular reps. They give generic info yes i wait a bit longer to transfer but im ok with that a supervisor has more access then a reg call rep.

No, the DDD date will show next to code 846 on ur transcripts. The “process date” is “said” to be (per IRS) the actual date ur taxes process for completion. Now, that being said, per much research and reading, it’s not a 100% accurate date. Some are processed b4 and some after.

Thanks im hoping for the best for us all. I do believe we will have good news by wends god willing. I usually wouldnt stress but this is a dif circumstance. I did however get a letter i had to recertify a credit turbotax messed me up on it says ive succesfully recertified for the credit and if i havent recieved my refund already i will recieve within 6 weeks as ling as i owe no offsets. Its generic to say 6 weeks but the letter was sent or dated 2/11 so im assuming it should be on the way soon.

All you need to do is look on your transcript to see what day in February it will be processed. Mine says 2/18/19 but I have no status bar on my WMR page. Just the transcripts to go off of.

in 2017 it was a similar pattern with the updating every Saturday but after the path message I got the same message as this year when I called they gave me a ddd of the following Thursday after the path lifted I got my refund a day before on Wednesday my wmr didn’t update until the Saturday after I got it with my ddd.

in 2018 I received 2 bars and a ddd but it didn’t update to sent until the Saturday after 9/10 times your money will deposit this week if you changed from path to being processed

I filed on 2/5 with EIC and CTC. I stayed at one bar until I checked yesterday morning. I had no bars and no T152 message. I did have the deposit amt still showing. After reading that they update between 9-12 I decided to check it last night around 10. I then had 2 bars with a DDD of 2/22/19. My return was pretty straightforward. As I’m new to this situation, I checked the transcripts of the section I assume it to be. It says April 15, 2019 is the “return due date” but I’m assuming that’s what everyone’s says but a processing date of 2-18-2019.

I’m just confused by this explanation especially since they removed the progress bar in early February.

Mine does say “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” and reading people’s response, that’s the good message of the two.

Also, Brandon isn’t as innocent as he comes to be. He was obviously on here researching the same answers as everyone here. To scrutinize people’s personal finances when you also get the same tax breaks as people here isn’t ideal. My wife and I use our refund to plan our weekend trip we do once a year. So I’d like to know when I’m getting it for my own reasons. Others don’t bother me but they deserve a better description than the PATH act and cannot process before February 15.

I’ll be checking here periodically if I need or have any questions as you users answered so much of it already.

Brandon actually gave some solid advice. I know everyone is anxious for their refund but the majority of people only blow it. He was trying to be informative, you really should be putting some aside no matter how small it may seem it will add up very quick. Using the 50-30-20 rule will improve your lifestyle dramatically. Allocate 50% toward necessities 30% toward desires and 20% in a savings account. It will add up fast and before long you will have thousands of dollars in your savings account like I assume Brandon does. He seems financially secure so I would guess he is very good with his money. I spoke to my proffesional preparer she assured me there are 2 dif. Wordings
1st- we have recieved your return and its being proccessed. (This means everything is normal so far no issues have arisen id verify, audit etc.)

2nd. We have your return and it is STILL BEING PROCESSED.( this is a red flag something on your return caused computer to hold the return.. Call them immidiatly to have letter resent to you.. It may be id verify but could be a soft audit they want proof of dependants filing status or income. This will delay your refund)

So for now if it is saying the first breath easy give them 30 days from your accepted date before you call. Try checking your transcripts if not online call the number and order by mail. My proccessing date is the 11th of feb. According to irs. So i will call if no update after the 20th or possibly wait on my transcript by mail then call if no change.

This same circumstance occurred for me this morning. Filed 1/30. Was seeing one bar action for two weeks essentially since the 31st. The 14th was the first time I was able to access my transcripts which showed cycle code of 20190705 with the 806, 766, 768, and 150 codes but still no 846 code. This morning woke to my bar gone and a message saying ” your return is being processed …………..”. Not really sure what to make of it. Some say to start worrying but others this has and is happening to say this usually happens right before they release the DD with 846 code. Any input?

The refund issued code is the day that your refund is to be issued so if wmr updated it would say that day what your bank does is on your bank but if it’s sayd 2/22 that’s your day my moms was 2/21 she got hers yesterday

I’ve had years where my DD was several days after the date associated with the 846 code. However I’ve had most years with the opposite. So my DD was several days before the 846 date…

It’s really just depends mostly on your banking institution or other form of deposit method.

Unless you know that your specific tax situation has a potential “speed bump” that could delay things further, you can rest assured that your money is on it’s way sooner than later.

I don’t believe 2/22 is the DDD. It means it is being sent to your bank on that date. I looked at my transcripts for the previous years and my DDD was 4 business days after the date on the transcripts. I could be wrong. Maybe this year is different. Either way, the refunds are coming.

The message does not mention a refund date being provided soon or anything. We can see our refund amounts again and those that can access transcripts online that updated from the PATH message to the processing message have an 846 code with a date of 2/22 (most of us anyway).

if you status said “being” processed it means you will get your DDD soon. “Still being” processed means there is something wrong with your tax return, either it is under additional review or error. Last year mine said “still being” processed, and it was under review almost 2 months or maybe longer, it depends on staffing and workload. If your status online said “being processed” as of today 2/6. u can log into your account online and download “account transcript” it shows your refund issued date already. and that is the day u will get your money. my refund issued date is 2/22. wahoo..thanks god! so good luck to everyone who are waiting!

Just so you know, I’ve been doing this for 8 years. From experience and what the IRS people and irs fraud people told me, is that if your wheres my refund says “we have recieved your return and its is being processing” then your fine but if it says ” we have recieved your return and it is being proccesed, a refund date will be provided when available” then that mean the Irs cant guarantee the 21 days return, from my experience it always happens with ID verification. It’s happened to me 2 times. Sux. I know, but get a tax advocate, there free, and will help post it through much faster. Or file a hardship, and show them your refund is causing you to have financial difficulties. Hope this helps

Last year my bars disappeared and got replaced with the message “We have receieved your tax return and it is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” I got that message in late Feb, and in late March I got a letter from the IRS saying I had to call and verify my identity. They just wanted some random info from previous tax returns just to make sure I was me, and my bars came back and I got a date a few days later. I didn’t end up getting my refund until mid April because of it. I hope thats not the case this year. Good luck folks.
