Just thought maybe I’d post this here as a topic as it’s own seeing as absolutely every topic on here now has multiple comments with this same generic message.
Hope this helps keep the forum a bit more organized for others!
Have a blessed day!

Filed and accepted 1/27/20. No letters at all. Called and spoke to IRS agent 3/15/20. He stated NOTHING wrong, no red flags, no additional information required. Must be patient. ETA ballpark he said would be last week of April to the first week of May. Still nothing. It has been saying this since first week of Feb. “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” So there is something wrong and the agent lied to me?

I finally got my tax refund! I never got a letter in the mail about a review or needing more information. I didn’t try to contact anyone or a TA. I last checked my transcripts last Friday and WMR last Saturday but it still had the same codes and said the same being processed message. I got a notification around 12 am about a deposit from the IRS and it was my tax refund! WMR has still not updated for me.

I filed my taxes on 3/14/20. Still waiting for my refund and it’s passed 21 days. WMR is showing We have received your tax return and it is being processed.
My rerun was accepted on 3/16.
Why is this taking so long. -
March 30, 2020 at 7:41 pm #4398487ProudFatherOF1
@Dana Unfortunately it’s just the standard filing date that’s on all transcripts
-
March 30, 2020 at 7:36 pm #4398486Dana
Pulled my transcript. At the bottom is shows the date 4-15-2020 along with the amounts credited. Does this mean they will process on this day?

I couldnt get through today I was on hold forever and they made it known on the recording that irs will not be answering questions about TT. I know there is no use to call Monday or Tuesday cause they always say due to high call volume call back Wednesday or Thursday. Just hoping it will update and I wont have to worry stress about it anymore.

This is the longest process ever. They need to com up with a plan to stop this. I’ve noticed it’s only happening to the people with families who beef this money.

Not sure what that means bc down below it says no returned filed. I was accepted 1/30 still processing. I am just wondering g what the as of date means? Any suggestions??????? I’m supposivley waiting for them to correct my return is what I was told by IRS

I finally got a DDD for 3/18!!! After 2 months! Thank you lord! Good luck to you guys! Be patient!
-
March 10, 2020 at 1:24 pm #4391593
I suggest going onto the IRS site and getting your transcripts. I just did and show a processing date of 3/16/20 and the WMR is still showing the doomed “still processing” message. I filled mine on 2/10, accepted on 2/10 so I’m feeling the anxiety and stress too. Get your transcripts, it’ll help with the information you are seeking 100%.

Hi guys I filed on feb 3rd accepted same day lost bars 2 weeks later. Message say still processing.I finally decided to call the irs this morning. If you filed through turbo tax and had insurance through the affordable care act trust me you are getting a letter. The person I spoke to said i have to fill out the 8962 form and fax it along with my 1095 A form. After that it can take up to 60 days to get a refund. Hope this helps. I will no longer be filing with turbo tax after this year.

March 8, 2020 at 7:23 pm #4390519Amanda
I found out the other day that my tax return was chosen at random for review. This review does not start until March 9th and runs for 60 days. I may or may not get my return before may. I am going to guess most of you have been selected for review as well you just havnt received a letter because you review does not start until sometime in March. I would call the IRS to check. I called to check and that is when I found out I was selected. Hope this is helpful

Anyone get the LTR 12C and faces back the 1906-A form see a difference in their refund amount? I just want to know since they have to “manually” process or it gets resequenced if it affects the refund amount.

I am on a 60 day review starting March 2nd. I checked WMR and no update, no code, no letter even though they claim they sent it last week. I really need my money. My tax job hours are being lessened and once this job is done I will be 6 months pregnant and wont be able to work till after the baby is born. So I really need my money for my kiddos and I.

Yes!
Spoke with a lady at IRS and she said they haven’t received anything from my current employer.Accepted 1/29, EITC, Dependents, Nothing on WMR except the same dumb processing shit, under 60 day review. She said if I don’t receive my refund by MAY 15TH to call back, but she has seen people get DDD’s way before the 60 days is up.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaatever.

-
March 6, 2020 at 11:40 am #4389597Sbaxter
Idk if this will help but from what I’ve been reading, there are lots of people who have been told they’re under review and out of no where the WMR updates with a DDD. So try not to over think it :)

March 6, 2020 at 11:25 am #4389587Angel

-
March 6, 2020 at 11:14 am #4389580Sbaxter
I haven’t called the IRS and haven’t seen a letter. I just filed on 2/28 so I had no reason to call yet. So, no letter or under review. My transcripts just updated over night last night.
-
March 6, 2020 at 10:39 am #4389561Angel

March 6, 2020 at 9:38 am #4389510WiZzZ
BE PATIENT, Hahah! I know, how hard that is!
@Just Checking-
My guess is that you will receive them next week.I filed mine of 1/22 and accepted a day later.
BUT ten I needed to fill out an 8962 form- faxed that over 2/12
on 2/28 TRANSCRIPTS were updated AND I was under REVIEW? Review MY BUM- because today I checked transcripts and it said my refund was issued on 3/11. Its not updated on WMR yet, but from what I see that won’t happen until tomorrow. -
March 6, 2020 at 9:32 am #4389502Just Checking
Good Morning,

Nothing. Still processing, transcripts still show 570 with 3-16-2020 next to it. Does the 3-16 date means that is when they hope to have it resolved or is that the date they will begin processing? I’m confused by the date next to the 570.

These are the Tax payer Bill Of Rights https://www.irs.gov/taxpayer-bill-of-rights and the IRS has to abide by them. Know your rights and don’t just accept any kind of treatment. If a representative is disrespectful to you remember you have the right to report it. Report complaints to the Treasury Inspector General (TIGTA). The telephone number is 1800-366-4484

I forgot to attach and report a 1099 for less than $100. Will the IRS amend my return, or do I have to file an amended one?

March 4, 2020 at 12:43 pm #4388675
I mailed my taxes on Jan 21 and were “Accepted” on Feb 7 showing bars, then bars were gone a couple of days later and “We have received your taxes…” was showing up with Topic 152 for 3 weeks. Bars came up again on Feb 28 and disappeared again on 03/02. Now the same message is showing with no changes, I have not received any letters either.
Anyone here mailed their taxes? I’m just worried about being randomly picked for review, takes too long

Filed 1/21 accepted 1/22 identity verification letter sent and not received on 2/13 verified identity 2/28 was told there was no other issues and there is no update still. This is so insane ! When should I expect a update they said it could take 9 weeks which seems unbelievable being as I claimed the same child dependents and have direct deposit

Please do not disappoint yourselves, although anything is possible I suppose. I’m now hoping for update on next Saturday morning March 7 for DDD of March 11. I usually file around third week of February and receive by first week of March. Dumb me filed early thinking I might get it earlier, wasn’t mindful about path and stuff because I never had to deal with that delay before since I always filed after it. Lesson well learned. Filing late February next year for sure!!

This is the first year that I have claimed CTC maybe that is the hold up for me? I have been getting the “we have received your tax return and it is being processed” since February 17th when they accepted them. Haven’t received anything in the mail claiming there is a problem.
-
February 29, 2020 at 9:07 am #4386214Melissa
No update again today. I filed 1/21 got accepted the same day. I guess I’m calling Monday to see what’s going on. This is so frustrating.

Update: Filed via TT 2/15, accepted same day, one Bar, tax topic 152. This Wednesday we lost the one bar, and received the dreaded “still processing” message. WMR updated today to a DD date of 3/4. Very crazy tax season, yet again, but keep your faith thru it all! And if you get put on a second 60 day review, get an Advocate ASAP!

I filed on 01/27, was accepted the same day. Had 1 bar on WMR for about 2 weeks, since then it just says, “We have received your tax return and it is being processed” with filing status & amount of refund to the left. No TT of any kind, no error messages, no instructions to contact the IRS & have not received any letters. I filed the EITC and the CTC. Received my state return this passed week. Anybody else having this issue?
-
February 29, 2020 at 8:09 am #4386170
Still no update on wmr for me, can’t access transcripts, and no letter yet. They told me I have a processing date of 3/9 so I wasn’t expecting anything today no red flags anytime I’ve called. You guys that updated give me hope that at least they are working on it…hoping for my refund mid to late March.

@Alexi Have you received a letter in the mail? From what I’ve been told from a person on here that went through the same situation and the patterns im starting to see is that when you get that message and maybe a letter then you should get a DDD the following week. I’m in a couple of forum’s on here I wish I could direct you to the certain one on that topic so you can read it for yourself

I am in the same boat as you. I had a 60 day review last year and it took over over 100 days. It’s looking like the same thing this year. Don’t be surprised if you get another 60 day or 45 day letter shortly before this 60 days is up.

Received a letter from IRS Yesterday 2/24 dated 2/19 that our refund is being reviewed they will let us know if we have to do anything further but not to contact them till 60days.Yeah. The original issue causing this is known as theft. Now they’ve moved on to taking our money hostage without reason. Bunch of criminals.

February 25, 2020 at 9:18 pm #4379006Beauty
I have the message ” We have received your return and it’s being processed.” I have spoken with an IRS representative stating that there’s nothing is wrong with my Tax Return.
I was worried since I have the 570 code on my transcript, that something was wrong.’
She did mention that they just place a hold on random tax returns for further review, but they don’t really review them. They just hold them a little longer. She told me to wait until Saturday for a possible update.
-
February 25, 2020 at 7:01 pm #4378387
I called the IRS today and was told they were doing a random security check of my return. It’s been exactly 36 days since I filled (was accepted the same day) and told it could be another 2 months before they finish. What a joke… I should be able to charge them interest, a late fee, and then interest on the late fee just like they’d do to me. Not to mention everything else that would follow.
They also said “it’s nothing you did wrong. Everything looks good.” wtf then lol?

Still not update for me and I filed 1/31 and approved same day. I have the earned income credit, so I understand there’s a delay. But, I can’t believe nothing has been updated on the WMR site yet. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday. If not, I am calling to speak to someone because I have not received any letters in the mail and my return is pretty basic otherwise. It was nearly identical to last year.

@RT I would call them and see what’s up then. Some people have been pulled for random review.
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:57 am #4376577RT
@casandria I at one point got the topic I52 then it went away. My mom does taxes and filed them on 1040.com. She did mine, hers and several others… out of everyone else I’m the only one that didn’t get the ddd of 2/26/20 they all did but me. She checked on mine and said everything was good. I’m so confused
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:53 am #4376560
@RT
There is a pinned topic about how to get a live person at the IRS.
My other question would be if you received a 1095a and didn’t file it. It’s been a common issue this year because of the law changes, especially if you filed with TT. It’s what caused my problem. You still need to call to find out if you have a letter on the way or if it’s something else.
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:41 am #4376514RT
@casandria
For weeks now all I see is a “we have received your tax return and it is being processed” I haven’t gotten any letters or codes. Just the no update on my where’s my refund trying to find out what’s going on. Last year I got my money before WMR ever updated…. advice please? -
February 25, 2020 at 10:35 am #4376495
ashley,
Me, too. Got the letter yesterday. Did you owe or did you have a credit back? I have a credit back and I’m curious to see if there’s any difference in time in one getting processed faster than the other.
The form was actually for my daughter and I had already filed it on her taxes and didn’t know I also needed to file it on mine. She’s a partial dependent this year and TT didn’t prompt me for it at all.
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:33 am #4376491
RT, do you have a letter or are you trying to figure out what’s wrong?
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:32 am #4376487RT
How can I get ahold of an actual person
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:08 am #4376409ashleyd87
Casandria,
I did and received a letter last week, form 12C and had to fax over my 1095A and 8962.
So, hopefully there is some change coming soon. -
February 25, 2020 at 9:46 am #4376333Jenisha
I checked my account just to be sure, no money yet. My DDD is 2/26. So maybe tonight? My boyfriends dad and brother got their last night even tho their DDD was 2/26. Maybe their card processed faster? I just want my money.

TurboTax 1-800-446-8848
I just got off phone with someone about an hour ago!!!!…. this entire time I’ve been waiting and no update on WMR. They had ALL of the answers I was looking for. Including my new amount after my offset! The big day for me is TOMORROW! I will update and let you know what happens.
Best wishes you all!
-
February 25, 2020 at 12:50 am #4375209MommaBear
@thegreatone
It could be… SO FOR ALL TURBO TAX FILERS: here is an update u might be interested in if u don’t know ur DDD. For some reason (probably my offset) WMR now says I’m entering wrong info when looking for my status for the last 2days. So I called turbo tax and they were able to give me my DDD even when previously WMR still didn’t give me my DDD! my DDD is TOMORROW the 25th!!!!!

They will mail me a letter March 2nd explaining why. Transcript i got has April 15th as a date. Oddly enough another girl from my work is in exact same boat. Only tax code besides the normal ones are 570.

So I spoke to someone from the irs and they told me I was going to receive a letter called “CP05” form and that it was just a letter basically saying they’re still reviewing my case. Supposedly there’s nothing wrong with it but that they’re just taking longer than expected. They told me to call them back if I haven’t gotten an update within a week or so.

February 24, 2020 at 2:40 pm #4373242
Just got off the phone with the IRS and apparently they are trying to “verify” if my refund amount and information are correct and it will be “under review” until April 16th. Are you fucking kidding me??? I checked my taxes THREE times before I filed they are 100% correct. On top of that they didn’t send me a letter telling me this or anything, I had to wait 26 days past my acceptance date to call them and find this out? I’m pissed

Guys just a reminder about intrest tax the irs doesn’t owe you interest till the tax day deadline April whatever if you look it says 21 days or April date whichever is LATER… and should you get interest you have to claim it on net years taxes it’s not tax free money
-
February 24, 2020 at 9:54 am #4372203
Another thing when you file doesn’t really matter on ddd estimate it hasnt for years it depends if your taxpayer number falls into the weekly update batch or the daily update that’s the difference here you and your spouse could file exactly the same on same date and chances are one of you are daily and one is weekly. It depends on your social cycle. Please stay calm ..if you have 26th ddd you will be deposited either the 25 thru the 28th.

For those that got the turbo tax advance in the past did you receive your tax return days earlier or the day of? I’ve been reading it could take up to a week for funds to be deposited in that account.
-
February 24, 2020 at 2:34 am #4371322thegreatonecg
@MommaBear could it be because the WMR IS DOWN for maintenance? I did my return on turbotax btw
-
February 24, 2020 at 2:32 am #4371314MommaBear
I wish I could tell u it is a glitch and be correct, however it could be something as simple as a misspelled name on W-2, on pprwk filed, or how irs has ur name in system, it could b a missing initial, it could be 1 incorrect # on bank deposit info (in which case they would normally mail a check instead). They should be sending you a letter, I would call ur tax professional OR irs if not wanting to wait for the letter. Truly hope it’s just a glitch and wish u the best!

@ RMSN
My apologies, I meant this message for you, but spell check put “Roman”: typically if the message says it’s being mailed, then chances r it will be mailed. There could be numerous different reasons for that. Best thing to do if ur wondering why, is to call IRS directly and ask them why instead of panicking with possible scenarios. Best of luck!

Perhaps now that those have been released, anything going forward is possible from day to day. I was under the impression from what i read that deposits r daily as well…., well not according to irs. They have 2 batches which doesn’t match the DDD some of y’all r seeing. However, one thing is for sure, we should all receive no later than the 1st week of March. we can only hope lol -

@ Sparta
As far as what I have read on the website, unlike previous years where they would only update 1 day out of the week, he past couple years they update daily (including weekends). However, speaking with IRS, she stated they held all of our returns with the credits until the 15th, but since it was Saturday and that Monday was a holiday, they didn’t get released until Tuesday the 18th. Sounds a bit contradictory to me, but what do I know lol.
-
February 24, 2020 at 2:11 am #4371275thegreatonecg
First it showed my refund would be deposited 2/26 not its saying refund error information does not match, someone plz tell me this is a glitch

some are just going through the 1st batch and the others in the 2nd batch. They just held everyone’s until the 18th because of the holiday she said. I am curious as to why she told me the 1st batch refund will be sent the 29th and 2nd Batch the 2nd if apparently a lot of people have a DDD of the 26th though. However my status was updated but it has no DDD. Jus be patient -

No I wouldn’t be worried… I filed my mother’s with the same credits and what not as I did mine, the same time. Hers also says being processed still to this day. However, when I spoke to the IRS lady, she checked both of our returns and said not to worry, they r fine and no issues…

Thank u!
Oh one more question, would IRS submit my self employment income to SSA while they are still working on my return? Or do they submit when completed? I can’t wait to go to work in the morning, I have Monday telephone conferences and one of them happens to be with owner. -
February 23, 2020 at 9:10 am #4369632Target
A few typos, sorry. You can also report them to IRS, if they are uncooperative. Hopefully that is the last resort, if you have a vindictive boss. Try the other route, first.
Good luck!

February 23, 2020 at 9:06 am #4369625Target
ALL employers have til 1/31 to get this info submitted to The Internal Revenue. Quite a few don’t, which in turn has a negative effect for employees. Simple fix, call your lazy employer and ask they have it sent immediately. In cases were wage info doesn’t match, State will intervene by contacting the employer.
I hope you get it sorted,
All the best .. -
February 23, 2020 at 9:05 am #4369624Target
Correct @Pinkpanther, not sure why some employers short of harassed take their precious time sending their employers W2. They are posted simultaneously, that’s is how the State compares/match wage info prior to issuing refund.
-
February 23, 2020 at 8:55 am #4369614PinkPather
@Target
If SSA is showing my self employment income for 2019 but not my part-time job income (w2)… then my employer hasn’t sent SSA my wage info, right? Or does self employment post quicker because it comes from IRS? -
February 23, 2020 at 8:55 am #4369613Target
@Jess, For future reference – You should sign up for usps’ ‘Informed Delivery’.
-
February 23, 2020 at 8:51 am #4369607Target
@Jess, First, call and explain your situation to IRS. However, drop in mail today, anyhow. Could you send it certified? If so, head to your nearest post office first thing Monday morning. Certified mail comes w a receipt & tracking number. Which will be proof you got it out in time (w time given).
I sure hope this helps.
All the best ..

Okay!!!! So I got my letter with what I need to do, which I have no problem doing. My problem is the letter states that they need to receive my response by 2/27 and the only way is to mail it back! WTH! They sent it on 2/17 and I just received the letter yesterday 2/22. How the hell and I suppose to make sure they get it by 2/27 if u can’t even mail it out until tomorrow? Do anyone know if they have a grace period from the deadline they provided?

At this point, I don’t think anyone can tell use anything about what to expect and we will have to just play the waiting game. Some are getting DDD dates before other, different messages, etc, etc. IRS doesn’t seem to have a set algorithm. We just have to wait WHICH SUCKS!

@mommabear I filed 1/18 and got accepted 1/28. It still shows its being processed and I got my transcript by mail yesterday but there’s no code or date. It shows 0.00. Should I be worried? I’m impatient. I need answers
-
February 22, 2020 at 8:47 pm #4369127Tax
At this point, the IRS owes me my refund and interest. I filed 1/18 and was accepted a few days later, but my return still says processing. Not to mention if the roles were reversed they’d be charging me late fees, interest, and then interest on the damn late fees.

From February 20th, I have been checking WIMR daily.I got the ‘We have received your tax return…..’ message. Then a few days later, one bar!!!! Lasted about 3 days, then my page message went to ‘return is being processed’.
Today is Saturday February 22nd and when I logged in this morning, I seen two bars with the message ‘Refund Approved’ !!!
It is set to be deposited on Wednesday February 26th.It’s over.

Has anyone still not gotten their status updated? Filed/accepted 2/12. Received and being processed tax code 152 message on WMR since 2/13. A lot of people saying that theirs updated today, some who filed after me! Getting very nervous!
-
February 22, 2020 at 4:21 pm #4368825Rmsn1368
Mine finally got approved today too. But it says it will be MAILED on 2/28? I filed through TT & opted for direct deposit. I just double checked my direct deposit info & everything is correct. I did opt for TT to deduct my fees from my refund.
Anyone know if they’re actually mailing the check or if this is just a generalized message?? -

-

On the other hand I also did my mother’s taxes on TT same way and same credits as I had on my return and her WMR still shows being processed. No other topics and as far as the Irs said there was no issues with either of our returns other than my offset, but some statuses t being updated and some aren’t just yet. If yours isn’t updated yet, do not panic. It could literally still be processing just like my mother’s.
-

I finally got my status bars up today like she said, and it says it’s been approved still no DDD but Jus waiting on it to be sent. I have an offset which I already knew about, but hope this helps n brings some of u some hope n when to expect urs! Good luck!

I have had the same issue, your refund is being processed, today I FINALLY got an update saying DDD 2/26 :) And for the people asking they update between 3:30 and 6 AM Monday’s they update at midnight! I hope all of you get your taxes soon!!
-
February 22, 2020 at 1:57 pm #4368569Jesse
@Liz
There’s three ways
1) Check the refund status website through IRS or the app
2) Request your transcript online (tedious but very detailed) and look for code 846 (this is your DDD)
3) Call and either the automated message can tell you but if you still hear processing call back and talk to a rep. There’s a few people that commented on what the extension is for that. -

Hello all,
I was able to review my transcript and have code 846 for a DD of 2/26 but the amount is different….However on WMR it went from “being processed” to “your return is in review” with topic 151.
I have no other code after 846 but there were codes 810, 811, 420 before code 846.Can someone please help me to understand this?

Mine isn’t updated either, but for the first time I recvd a 4446C letter. I’ve filed the same way for the past 10 years. 2 dependents, didn’t receive a Path Act message. Just wondering if anyone else recvd a 4446C letter and their refund status changed? Or they recvd a DDD. I filed 2/3 via TT. Got the letter 2/18 or 2/19. Older posts about the 4446C aren’t very promising as those people waited 60+ days for their $$.

WMR shows STILL being processed. Filed 2/3. Received 4464C for the first time ever 2/19. Wondering if it’s because I switched banks and added a new checking acct for my direct deposit. Also, last year I added frauf protection to my credit. Been filling with the same two dependents for the past 10 years. Been using TT for 8 years. Just trying to figure out why so many people are getting these notices.
Godspeed

Filed on 2/3 and received 4464C letter dated 2/19. Filng same way for 8 yrs. This year added a new checking account #…anyone else have their direct deposit going to a different account than last year? Also, I have a fraud protection on my credit. It was added last year…just trying to figure out why so many people who’ve seemingly never had an issue before all of a sudden get this form. I filled through TT. Checked WMR message saying my refund is STILL being processed.

A few people have that, just read the comments. Most have called and been given their DDD dates.@Fancyface
Thats pretty common, most people in this topic have that exact same thing and most of them have refund dates either from their transcripts or from calling the IRS directly! The page is supposed to update sometime today (2/22) -

Omg yall! So I got a 446c4 or whatever letter of review on 2/11. Filed N accepted 1/27 with TT…both PaTH credits. I have the being processed for the last week. Cant view my transcripts. I jus called the offset line and they took my lil state money owed from a few years ago as of 2/26 😱😱😱 so I’m getting my monies! I thought for sure I’d have to wait the whole 60 day review. My WMR hasn’t updated yet but I dont even care!!! 🤑🤯🤑

@Kelvin
I don’t think it’s at 12. I just checked mine 5 minutes ago and no change.
I filed on 1/31 and was accepted the same day. From day one it has always had my amount on the left and said we have received your return it is being processed.
Then I lost my bars, had the path message and tax topic 152. Then when path was lifted it just went to the basic message said “we have received your return it is being processed.”
I filed with TT.

You will more than likely be flagged for an offset on the difference you owe. It’s typically done pretty quickly. It may add another week. If it’s been 21 days, I suggest calling the IRS to verify. -
February 21, 2020 at 8:48 pm #4366401Jackie
Filed and accepted on 2/4. Never got the path message at all. Just the generic your return was received and is being processed. Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve always gotten the path message but I’ve also always filed in January. I am just wondering if anyone who never got the path message transcripts update today with a refund date. I can’t check mine online. I just want to have a little hope for this possibility.

I had the 570 code last year and didn’t get my return until mid June. I again have the 570 code this year. Just spoke with an IRS agent that told me they need 60 additional days from 2/13 to review my return. They said they had no other information as to why they need an additional 60 days and what I could do on my end to speed it up. Hopefully it doesn’t take till June again.
-
February 21, 2020 at 5:29 pm #4365891
Codes
846 = refund issued (you got money coming rest easy)
570-a soft audit review (either they will ask for I’d verify or ask for proof of everything you claimed,tt files are known to get this code)

I haven’t had time to call and can’t access online. Basic being processed message, money to the left and no tax topic. Accepted 1/15, Path, etc.
From what I am gathering, most of people with the same message are being told a next week deposit even if there is no current update on WMR or SBTPG?
I have Netspend, just ready for it to hit.

@jones I just got off the phone with a rep and they specifically told me 570 is because I have a hold due to not filing bk in 2015 and 971 is the letter they are sending me, however I had a really nice helpful rep who walked me through exactly what I needed to do. Just call 800-829-1040 listen to the prompts. I believe I selected questions about how to complete something and got transferred once I told them what I was calling for

@Just Checking
After you create an account online, you can view/download all your transcripts. You will need to have some kind of account (i.e. auto loan, cc, etc.) to verify your identity. If you’re unable to do that, then you will need to order it and it will be mailed to you.

@Renee I believe 898 is the offset code for student loans. Don’t quote me though. You can definitely find out from the if the entire amount was applied there by contact Treasury Offset Program https://fiscal.treasury.gov/top
-
February 21, 2020 at 11:39 am #4365062Athena
From what I understand, the 570 means a credit hold and 971 means was a letter was sent to you. When I was reading through the different threads, it appears many people got those codes this year and all they needed to do was complete a ID verification. Someone started a thread about how it easy it was, if that helps.
To be fair, I’ve never gotten those codes before so maybe someone who has dealt with it can help better.

My federal is still showing “we have received your tax return and it is being processed” on WMR. However my state return shows it has been sent for a date of 2/28. Given that my state return has already been approved, how likely is my federal to be approved as well? I’m just a little concern it’s gonna get rejected due to addictions child tax credit

Says I have been selected for additional review. That is can take up to 60 days and to not call until the 60 days is up. This happened last year as well. Didn’t get my refund until mid June. This year and last are the only time I have used TT. Won’t happen again.
Transcripts so code 570 which is 45 or 60 day review.

Hope this helps put some ease on those that are just as frustrated as I am. There’s no way of associating this message with errors on ur return, that it needs further verification, or that ur return has any issues other than if u receive notice from the IRS or the WMR tool directs your to contact the IRS, or another type of “topic” on your WMR tool… unfortunately, it’s just a waiting game
-
February 21, 2020 at 1:59 am #4363713MommaBear
What I found out in the IRS website a few different places is that they r holding many refunds that claimed EITC and the additional child tax credit, the WMR tool will update and return with projected DDD on 02.22.20; Many will not see their refund in their account until the 1st week of March, some maybe sooner, but most likely the 1st week of March for those getting deposits via debit card or bank accounts.
-
February 21, 2020 at 1:58 am #4363706MommaBear
Apparently I’m not able to post screenshots of the info I just read on the IRS WEBSITE…
My sotry: I filed on 1.15.20; it was recieved and accepted 1.27.20; status bar updated that it was received a few days later and my Estimated DDD was for 2.17.20….. on 2.15.20 my status bar disappeared and only the message that my return IS BEING processed showed with my general info in the side. No other tax topic or anything. Still remains that way as of today..

I have the still being processed and the refund date when available message with 152 code.
I did order my transcripts via phone.I did call irs and they said no letter or notice showing and I should see update after tomorrow.
So are people that get these letters not showing the 152 code?

February 20, 2020 at 6:43 pm #4362943@TayNC
I just hope for an update sometime this month.

February 20, 2020 at 6:02 pm #4362861Dee Dee
Tawny That is not true. I called the IRS with the still being processed. There was no problem with return however I was accepted 1/27 went to return still being processed on 2/14 they said they never received my return until 02/14 when it went to still being processed. I filed tt.
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:41 pm #4362673
@Kingmitch
Can I ask when you got accepted? I got accepted the 31st, I claimed my 3 children. I got the message, “we have received your tax return and it is being processed.” my 21 days is tomorrow.
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:41 pm #4362704
no one will know until the 22nd lol seem like every year they have some excuse to not give people there money wich sucks because ecveryone needs the money but nothing we can do except play the waiting game the irs has or us
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:41 pm #4362725
When it says:
Being processed =your in the clear
Still being processed= your return has been flagged (either i.d verify or audit)
You just have to wait for your letter
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:40 pm #4362760
This shit makes you want to start a fucking riot it’s my money and I need it Now.. I bet they don’t wait to take it out out fucking paycheck..
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:40 pm #4362816
I don’t get how they do these taxes lol it’s different every year. My sister filed 2/7 and has ddd 2/21. I filed my taxes 2/6 and getting the being processed with no bars. She had same eic as me also. Only difference is I used turbo tax she went to h and r block.

-
February 20, 2020 at 4:32 pm #4362679@TayNC
Dang I can’t commit properly cause I’m at work. But ask your mother inlaw if she gave her kids her whole refund when they were 17. No. Parent does. I sure as hell won’t. I do give them some money and take them shopping. But I worked all year for my taxes and no you will not get it all.
-
February 20, 2020 at 4:07 pm #4362538Jesse
Anybody’s DDD post yet that filed EITC?
-
February 20, 2020 at 3:08 pm #4362481
@frustrated in Texas NO. Your refund is not for your children. The credit is to offset the expenses of paying for a child. I would never just give my child the money. I’d tell my mother in law to give her some money if she’s so concerned. Sounds like a crappy mil to me lol
-
February 20, 2020 at 2:55 pm #43624563 cents worth
@Frustrated in Texas
I personally dont and in my opinion that money basically is going to pay for housing, heat, water , electricity, insurance , and everything that i missed needed to run a household. I will give my kids $100 to spend since we are paying there cell phone bill every month. Getting them shoes and clothing when needed. Giving them money for the movies or going out with friends friday night. Filling the car back up with gas after they use the car to go out with friends. Ect

February 20, 2020 at 2:20 pm #4362381TTFiler
@Fustrated In Texas
Umm what’s wrong with your mother-in-law? If she means giving her a few bucks to spend well ok but what? Lol is she trying to move out? Is she getting ready for school post high school? Does she need a car? There’s got to be more her statement.
-
February 20, 2020 at 2:14 pm #4362367RCAZ
Frustrated in Texas
My daughter is 24 (this is the last year I will claim her) and no I don’t give her any of the tax return. You know why…I paid for the home she lived in, I paid for the food she ate, I paid for her car insurance, I paid for her cell phone all through college. So the refund is for helping offset that cost. My daughter has a master’s degree and just moved out with her boyfriend, so next year she can get her own refund.
-
February 20, 2020 at 2:08 pm #4362358Frustrated in Texas
Parent to parent?? Do any of y’all give your kids money from your income tax?? My mother in law all of a sudden thinks i should give my 17yr old daughter the money i get since i claim her aa dependent. After many many years this is now coming up. A few things to add 1) my daughter works part time 2) she gets a refund 3) my mother in law hasn’t mentioned my youngest getting money. Again i ask, do y’all as parents give your kids the child tax credit money you get on your income tax refund??
-
February 20, 2020 at 2:05 pm #4362356@TayNC

IRS Website:
As a reminder, by law, the IRS cannot release refunds for Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit tax returns before mid-February. “Where’s My Refund?” on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early Earned Income Tax Credit/Additional Child Tax Credit refund filers by February 22.
-
February 20, 2020 at 10:29 am #4361920Grizzly
I submitted my refund 01/27, had the path message and today 02/20 checked WMR and got the message if still processing. I received a letter in the mail from the irs. I claimed Child Tax Credit . Supper nervous
-
February 20, 2020 at 9:11 am #4361758Jeanie
On the IRS website under refund timing, it says early EITC filers will see an update by the 22nd. So an update will not be provided until several days after the 15th.

From people on here floating theories, Information from these newbie/temp milkbreath irs agents, has been from one end of the spectrum, to the other. ALL giving different info. So, if it’s not posted on IRS.GOV, if the agents are throwing everything at the wall in terms of info given to callers – how does one deem this factual?
-
February 20, 2020 at 6:29 am #4361509Target
@LyriKelz80666, FALSE. Exactly what are they doing between time you receive Path, til the 15th when it lifts? I’m sorry, that just isn’t true! My ex also a (CPA) for 30 yrs now disagrees. He has prepared thousands of these! I’ve not seen that on any IRS webpage, either!

They start the 21 days from Feb 15th for eitc so she isn’t lying doesn’t mean you wait 21 days it just means that’s when your countdown begins because they didn’t start technically processing until the 15th.. if I’m not mistaken I read that on a few different tax websites.
-
February 19, 2020 at 11:01 pm #4360756Kelvin
@coddakj why they need 60 days more ?
-

Myself and fiancé both filed on 1/17, both accepted on 1/21. My fiancé received his DD on 1/27. My PATHER update was midnight 2/16, like pretty much everyone’s? I found this forum and have been checking for any updates/hope – It’s me, I’m “thirsty”. LOL. I got my state back a week or so ago. Now I’m just trying to patiently wait for my money to hit my account. Hopefully whoever “thehelpfulguy22” spoke to is right. I filed 1/27 and was accepted 1/28. All the site is showing for me still is my return was accepted and being processed. I’ll post if I receive any updates.
-
February 19, 2020 at 2:45 pm #4359659Jess
This is just ridiculous. If the roles were reversed, the IRS would be up all our butts for their money and charging us interest.
-
February 19, 2020 at 1:39 pm #4359480
Just talked to an irs rep and she said if u have the still processing or processing message with no code most likely means ur still processing path act put us back in line we’ll most like be processed in the next batch and that’s tonight I filed 1/27 accepted 1/28 I’m on still processing because my 21 days are up

Hey guys!!!! I’m a weekly filed 1/17 got accepted 1/19. Been waiting ever since… first I saw the bars on WMR then i got the PATH message along with code 152. Now it’s saying it’s being processed. Uugghh the agony of waiting!!!! My state return just now shows it’s in stage 1 which is it’s being processed
-
February 19, 2020 at 12:16 pm #4359322Blackwood
The 21 days after the PATH lifted is false. While under PATH the returns are still being processed but placed in a holding pattern. Come on people. Think of ALL the families out there claiming EIC and ACTC. You really believe the IRS is going to back themselves up like this?
I’ve been on PATH since it started years ago, and on this site for at least 5 years. I’ve never had a return take longer than Feb and I always file around the 31st of Jan.
-
February 19, 2020 at 11:38 am #4359228Michael Smits
Hey guys I filed and got accepted 1-27-2020 with one bar same day checked back a week later and had no bars just PATH ACT Message now it’s 2-19-2020 and it’s saying return is still being processed and there’s been no updates since I did claim credits as well so idk if it’s going to update later today or tomorrow but hopefully sooner than later. Last year had no problems got my refund on 2-15-2019 as soon as they took the hold off the credits.
-
February 19, 2020 at 11:35 am #4359220DH43
I used turbo tax and my return was accepted 1/27 . For the first week I had bars, then The bars disappeared and a PATH message appeared with topic 152 . Then after presidents day I had no bars ,no topic, just recieved and processing messages.
-
February 19, 2020 at 11:02 am #4359148JoeShmo
There are those of us who aren’t even on the PATH who filed in JAN and are STILL waiting. This is friggin ridiculous. Oh and if they’ve had to hire millennials and boomers, WE ARE SCREWED.

Oh yea, @Dp, hmm, funny. Is this new for 2020/19? Last year, I got my dd Feb, 26. Filed, 1/31. “21 days after “, me thinks not. And why are people continuously spreading this LIE?

21 days after 15 February

February 19, 2020 at 10:35 am #4359089
I believe we will have a DDD on SAT and we should actually start seeing deposits as early as Tuesday. Last year I had the same message refund is being processed then an update with a DDD for the first week of March but I actually got my refund on the 26th of Feb

-
February 19, 2020 at 10:10 am #4359025Shonda
“We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” I filed and got child credit and EIC as well. Are they still on track for the 1st week of March for refunds? My update changed from the 152 code showing with a first bar highlighted to no bars and this vague message. Just wondering if anyone had any input. Thanks!

I just realized my tax return says self employed that I filed that way but I put my w2 in with my employer EIN number I filed on January 23 and it was accepted but still saying we received your tax return and is being processed.
I claimed one kid and filed earn income tax credit
Do you think it saying self employed will delay my return or should I try to fix it or wait and see what happens
-
February 19, 2020 at 8:49 am #4358802Kiwki
I was supposed to get it yesterday according to turbo tax but still nothing. At this point, not banking on seeing anything until Saturday.

I filed 1/24 got accepted the 27th with a refund date on turbo tax of 2/19 today and still nothing. IRS just shows still processing. Anyone else on the same boat? or have any feedback
-
February 19, 2020 at 8:29 am #4358749Lh2001
So I filed 1/30 and was accepted the same day. I went from one bar, to the path message, to your refund is being processed but no codes attached. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?
-
February 19, 2020 at 7:12 am #4358614
I am in the same boat filed 1/29 and went from being processed to still being processed and a refund date will be provided when available. Still tt 152 amount showing. No other codes. No letter. Just a waiting game. I think filing 1/29 was bad for everyone who filed that day.
-
February 19, 2020 at 7:12 am #4358612Dmillifrombk
For the passed 3 years I have gotten my refund around the 27th of feb. one year in 2015 I didn’t receive it until March 23.

Hope this helps.

@Bev I’m a 2/2 filer and in the beginning it said received your tax return and its being processed then it went to the PATH message and after 2/15 it went back to its being processed with tax topic 152. I just checked a few mins ago and it still says being processed but tax topic 152 is gone. So WTH should I expect?
-
February 19, 2020 at 3:42 am #4358376Target
@Jaxtax, there is a lot of that happening. And they are very much understaffed. It’s “public” knowledge! And apparently broke, well, underfunded, not since the 50’s were they this understaffed, well, as of 18/19 tax yrs. “10,000” Agents. So, your theory on new/temp employees might be accurate, too!

2/2 Filers
-
February 19, 2020 at 3:01 am #4358297Kingmitch
I feel like the delays for the people with the bars disappearing and the saying that your refund is processing is because of the eic or other credits. Which they wont even start disbursing those refunds till after February 15th. Tax schedule shows refunds for first week of March.. for this situation
-
February 19, 2020 at 2:30 am #4358230JacTax
So many things could be behind these delays. An influx of traffic slowing down the processing. Under-staffing. New temp hires that don’t know what they’re doing. Outdated software/hardware. Poor management. Etc., etc., etc!!
One thing is for sure…IT AIN’T ME!! 😜

I don’t understand how this works! I filed my tax returns and they were accepted January 27th. But now it only says that they are accepted and being processed. My fiance’s returns were filed and accepted February 10th that on his where’s my refund site is shows his bars. What’s going on? Am I being held up for something?

@ Jessica I also live in Florida and claim 2 kids. My return was accepted 1/15. Path message showed up and then it disappeared. Now I have the same message as you. I hope I don’t have to wait until the first week of March. My best friend who also lives her claims her 3 kids and she already received her refund on the 4th of February and she filed towards the end of January or so. I was like are you kidding me😱

My state said issues on February 7, nothing in account? IRS bars have disappeared and now read received and processing, but bars are gone. The info about 21 days is gone as well. The left side info is still there my SS#, filing status and refund amount. Does anyone have info on this? Had no issues last year but this year I do have a new dependent. Frustrated but hopeful.

Hey, i got interest last year on my federal tax returns because of how late it was. It was a couple of hundred dollars and now they are making me file this year on that interest but I didn’t lol. Only because it came the day after i filed and i didn’t want to do an amendment because that would you know LAG. Do you think that will effect me now as i wait in the “we received your return and it is bring processed” stage? I to am on the PATH but i might be lost. lol

Anyone know if its normal not to have transcripts yet ?
-
February 18, 2020 at 10:33 am #4356398Target
@JohnTaylor, that explanation may hold true for Pathers, but for people w 0 credits, 0 dependants, filing a simple return? Some have been waiting as long, if not longer!
“Thirsty” vs NEED.
@Tuck, at day 45, yours will begin to draw interest, owed you, by IRS..

@Michelle, did you call them? Get a tax advocate, or, lawyer if possible. Advocate is free. I think you absolutely should file this yrs, and take them on for last, anyway you must be April deadline. I’ve read quite a few cases where someone in your predicament, is now getting, or, have, “2 returns” coming.
Don’t give up, it’s yours. As the other commenter wrote, last yrs return has drawn interest which will reflect on your refund.
All the best hun ..
-
February 18, 2020 at 4:56 am #4356083JacTax
“The IRS has a deadline for paying refunds. Most taxpayers receive their refunds within three weeks of filing, but it can take longer, says Paul Herman, a certified public accountant based in White Plains, New York. And if the IRS doesn’t issue yours within 45 days of accepting your return, it owes you interest for each additional day.”
👆 From an article I just read. Google “Late Tax Refund” to see more info on the topic.

February 18, 2020 at 3:55 am #4356016Michelle
I hope it all works out a bit better this year. I tried filing last year before the shutdown, hoping to get in early. I was accepted 1/14/19. Bars disappeared, and “we are processing” lasted until December. I got one notice, in March, and nothing else.
In December, my bars came back. In January, my return disappeared, and now there is no information available for last year.
I was really trying to avoid the whole paperwork circus I figured I’d get by phoning, but over a year to process a straightforward return is absurd. All of my stats have stayed the same, and I never got a request to ID verify, no audit, no wage requests.
I’m not sure whether to file for this year or sort out last year first.

There was a thread last year with the same title as this one, alot of people were in the exact position we all are in, updated after path to no bars and being processed…
I just did some digging on the forum, and alot of PATHers with the “being processed” on WMR got updated via transcripts with 846 on 2-22-19(friday) of last year with a deposit date of 2-27 (wednesday).
The WMR system updated 2-22 with DDD of 2-27-19.
IF that pattern stays true for this year, alot of us will see an update on 2-21 via transcript, or 2-22 via WMR this year, with a deposit date of 2-26.

@jstarr @target @youaintheard
so i’m in the state of arizona, and it’s a chapter 7 bankruptcy that was filed in June, my attorney said I might get half of my refund depending on the trustee but he wasn’t sure. I thought atleast the EITC would be restricted but here in my state, the trustee is able to get it. so my fingers are crossed. The messages displayed on the IRS app went from “we have received your return…” to “we cannot provide any info abt your refund…you must wait at least 24 hours after you get the acknowledgement email..” so i’m not sure of what any of that means, but my fingers are crossed.
& @jstarr thank you for the congratulations!!

Hi everyone, I am a PATHER and I filed and was accepted on Jan 22nd. I had the first bar up until Friday and it disappeared and I got the Path message and then yesterday and today the path message was gone and no bars and it just says they received my refund and it’s being processed. I see some people had the same thing but I’m just worried I was audited a few years back and it took a full year to get it all done. I need up getting my refund right around the same time I got the next year’s refund but I can’t wait like that this year so I am hoping it’s just because I am a PATHER and I will get the bars back and approved please let me know if anyone else with the same stuff gets their bars back
-
February 17, 2020 at 6:33 am #4354183
@kwil1720
You should be getting your full refund if you filed chapter 7. Unless you have something on the offset line. Filed bankruptcy around the same time before myself and still received my full refund. Unless you have to pay back child support or IRS.

-
February 16, 2020 at 11:15 pm #4353965
@kwil Which bankruptcy did you file? Chapter 7 will have no effect on your taxes, Chapter 13 might. If you are in Chapter 13 you have to send a request to the trustee in charge of your debts and request to keep the refund. Generally, with Chapter 13, they cannot/will not, keep any portion of the refund having to do with child tax credit/additional child tax credit or earned income credit, any other portion, unless you request to keep it, will be applied to your debt. I don’t know that it is intercepted, just that you would be required to send it in. Chapter 7 erases the debt and creditors would not be entitled to any portion of your refund as the debts have been discharged. If any student loan payments were on hold during your filing, the Department of Education could still seize your refund if you are in default.

My adjusted letter (last year), arrived in mail in envelope w adjusted check. An adjustment can either be a decrease or an increase. The computer catches the mathematical errors, the human corrects “adjust”, processing completes!
Hope you get it soon,
All the best .. -
February 14, 2020 at 1:32 am #4349481Target
@Jerry, if someone told you so, that’s the first clue. However, when you receive deposit/check? You notice an increase, or, decrease from amount quoted when you filed. It will also be on the letter – Adjusted Amount.

@nate79 how do u know it got adjusted I’m still waiting on mine and I called because it was supposed to be finished February 8th I called on the 12th all she could tell me was it was adjusted and I should be receiving a letter if it doesn’t come In 30 days call back. I was like well what’s the letter and she said she couldn’t tell me anything it’s so frustrating to be waiting a whole darn year

Hey! I was accept on 1/14. My transcript still say N/A after like day three or four I went from one bar to no bars & that they are still processing my return. However I don’t have a tax topic and my amount is gone from the side. Anybody else in this situation? I did read that on Feb 22 we will have a huge update especially with us early fillers because majority of us was “resequenced” and really was accepted into the second batch of people not the first batch.

Everyone except me now has the Path Law Message and they see a date on there transcript of 02/14. Mines is showing 2019 Transcript N/A. I still have all three bars and stuck on the recieve. Thank you, I appreciate it! I try my best to be as complete, honest and speak from experience or first hand knowledge anyway.
Everyone’s situation is unique and different that’s the best way to describe it. What combination of things may flag one person for an audit, may flag another for a review or ID Verify letter. There’s no 2 situations the same.
Anyone heard from Margie lately????

Here we are again,
I’m sure there will be updates this weekend! Whether it’s everyone or not at this point idk?? I updated to PATH Message to fast in my humble opinion. So I doubt that I update anywhere, at least anything positive.
That being said, I have noticed those without path have gotten their refund on average in about 10 days.
So really who knows? At this point anything is possible!! Lol

The real fun starts next week!!
