      My job just announced that they made errors on everyone’s w2 in boxes 16 and 18, local taxes. Will this affect my federal return? And if I do have to amend the return how long of a wait would that be? They’re supposedly sending corrected w2’s soon.

          It could affect it. Also if you do have to I mean, it would take up to 12 weeks. Do not amend until you receive your federal return.
