      Has anyone heard about the IRS W-2 verification testing? I have always filed before I got my W-2 because I knew exactly what would be on it. I have no idea if mine this year will have this id number. Also Taxslayer doesn’t ask for it. I hope these don’t screw up returns and refunds.

          If I’m reading it right it is just a test run. It basically saying that they are doing it on a random few and if you don’t put the code in or you get it wrong, it won’t delay your refund. That’s if I read it correctly.

            never heard of that…but I see on the facebook page a lot of people file without their w2. I am self employed, so I don’t have a w2.
