Refund Timing – By law, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards starting February 27, 2018, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. “Where’s My Refund?” will update for EITC/ACTC refunds on Feb. 17 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. Before Feb. 17, the IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so these filers should not contact or call about refunds before the end of February.

I guess I don’t understand why so many people are getting the message and codes and ddd and here I am not getting anything. No offsets. This is frustrating. Happy for those that have got their date. I’m over the anxiety. I went from 152 to being processed. Nothing on my transcripts.

Just checked WMR @ 11:50pm, 2/16/2019- and I am now showing a DDD Feb 22, 2019. I bank with USAA and they don’t hold funds. As soon as they receive they release. I’m assuming I’ll get my deposit some time on Tuesday since Monday is a Holiday. Talk about frustration waiting and waiting and waiting. I’ve been checking nonstop since midnight on Friday and all day Saturday. I checked only because I read on one of these posts that there would be another update between 9pm and 12am. Sure enough- at 11:50pm I am now showing a DDD. The waiting game for me is over! Everyone get ready…. yours is coming next!!!

I filed on 1/7 was accepted on 1/12 . We claim both EIC and ACTC. Was on path for a couple weeks. Updated to its being processed. We were part of the test batch. I see others who filed after me and they just received a ddd for 2/22. I ordered our transcripts last Sunday. I can not get them online because we do not have any accounts. Just wondering when I will get a ddd?

I filed on 2/5 with EIC and CTC. I stayed on one bar all the way up to this morning I had no bars and no T152. it still had my deposit amount though. Well it is almost 10pm CST and I just checked because I saw that it updates from 9-12. I now have 2 bars with a DD of 2/22/19. I’m not sure if I’m a weekly or daily sorry. I just thought I would share since I went from 1 bar with T152 yesterday to waking up with no bars or T152. Then tonight I have a deposit date. I wasn’t expecting that after reading some posts.

You can check using the phone system. Google the number and call if your locked out the IRS2GO app. Not sure if the app is more accurate than than the phone but just check if its changed. I’m locked out as well. Will check at 12am

Mine says it’s locked for 2 many attempts and I’ve only checked twice. I tried about 3 minutes ago. Wondering what that’s about.

To those that got a DDD to tonight, did you have any bars beforehand or did you have the “your return is being processed” message?
I am somehow locked out of WMR for too many attempts, yet I only checked 2x today? Ugh.
-
February 16, 2019 at 10:41 pm #4274797
It resets at midnight.

Got an update tonight, with a DDD.
Filed on 1/27, approved 1/28.
Transcripts said Processing date of 2/18.
Late Friday WMR updated from PATH message to “We received your return and are processing”.
Late tonight updated to two bars, with amount and date.
So yay!

She found that on its.gov only thing is it isn’t accurate seems to me that was a previous year but however if you Google path act 2019 and go to the its.gov one vast majority update is Feb 23rd

February 16, 2019 at 10:14 pm #4274731saabguy
You have to consider the IRS is rebounding from the longest shut down in history. Last nights update was probably just a mass header change on the servers for the WMR from the PATH message that had expired to a generic “Its being processed”. There really is no schedule for their I.T. people to update the systems. Im sure they are working overtime to get it hammered out and are as anxious as we are to purge their systems of the pending returns that sitting in their servers as we are to receive them. That being said, anything could happen. Big update tonight is possible, and even Monday even though its a holiday, they may be working overtime to keep up and make up for lost time from the shutdown.

That’s not true…Most early filer’s will get there dd on 2/22/19..wmr is not updating properly..You have to get your transcript..It will give you code 846, means refund approved and a ddd on 2/22/19..Most people will have their tax returns before wmr gives a ddd date..This is what is really going on!!

-
February 16, 2019 at 9:13 pm #4274661Ken
Well we know that wasn’t accurate since most of us got our refunds 5 or more days before the 27th last year.
-
