UPDATES 02/26

For those who have not updated yet ( transcripts/wmr ) I know how frustrating this is! I just spoke to an IRS rep who was actually nice and willing to help! The rep stated that due to them being behind and still processing over 5 million 2019 returns and the stimulus issue things are going a bit slower this year. The rep said that those who haven’t updated should receive and update between Friday 2/26 and Friday 03/05. Most will get deposits next week!!

I filed on 2/05
Accepted 2/12
Both credits ( path ) no look back
I do have an offset which I was told will not delay the payment process.
I bank with chime I filed with TT and did not pay filing fees upfront.

Then today another IRS rep said she couldn’t even look at the status of my return since it hasn’t been 21 days.

IRS operators haven’t been helpful at all. I was told since I filed early…didn’t file until the 12th….that mine would be delayed.

I’m not sure how much truth there is to what the rep told me! Usually I have my refund in my bank between 2/22 – 2/26 so idk! It is frustrating though

I’m not saying you didn’t speak to someone if it came off that way. It seems like people are the IRS know as little as we do. The story I read said they spoke to somebody at the IRS also.

Why wouldn’t they put that on their website? It would keep a lot of people from calling them. Well probably not but it seems like there are stories like this every year. I read one that said people who were accepted February 9th and 13th will be getting theirs late because of a “glitch” even though I know quite a few people who were accepted on the 12th and got their refund.
