Where’s My Refund? is available almost all of the time. However, our system is not available every Monday, early, from 12:00 am (Midnight) to 3:00 am Eastern Time.
Our Refund Trace feature is not available during the following times (Eastern Time):
Sunday: 12:00 am (Midnight) to 7:00 pm
Monday: 12:00 am (Midnight) to 6:00 am
Tuesday: 3:30 am to 6:00 am
Wednesday: 3:30 am to 6:00 am
Thursday: 3:30 am to 6:00 am
Friday: 3:30 am to 6:00 am
Saturday: 3:30 am to 6:00 am and 9:00 pm to Midnight
Also, occasionally our system may be unavailable on Sundays between 1:00 am and 7:00 am Eastern Time.
This a tricky topic. Listen, this is MY EXPERIENCE!!!! NOT A FACT!!! Okay, so……I locked myself outta WMR last week and was mad at myself because I knew it only updates once a day, yet I kept checking because, well, when ya palms itch, you gotta scratch dem bitches. As soon as midnight hit(I’m lying, maybe 20 minutes or so after midnight) I was able to log back in. So I don’t know if the system restores your access around midnight, or if it updates at that time. But I’ve also heard 3-6, 330-600, and 12-6.
I always heard 3am to 6am EST.

I spoke to an IRS agent earlier to look into my account and she said they update Saturday and Wednesday’s. So we should see an update midnight tonight into tomorrow morning.
It updates from 330 to 6am est then again Saturday 9pm to midnight I’m not sure where people get there info but all I have to do is Google it and it will come up on the IRS website
Once overnight. If it hasn’t changed by morning next update will be Monday night
