Child support should be excluded from the stimulus checks, on a case by case basis. Already struggling families need it, and the custodial parent is getting their own stimulus money. Personal example: My husband is on full disability, he doesn’t qualify to file a tax return based on his income so he doesn’t file. While he does have arrears, he current on his obligation. He has a great relationship with his child from his previous relationship (the important thing) … His child isn’t a child, but a 19 year old young man who works full time and supports himself. Also, the IRS website does not state anywhere on there under the sections of who qualifies and who doesn’t for a stimulus check… False advertisement and anyone who is affected personally should feel free to chime in here on this post. Sorry, not sorry.
