Was hoping maybe the few of you that filed unemployment and expecting the refund that’s getting issued anytime could update here. IRS is supposed to be refunding the credit any day now. I haven’t received anything other than an email from TT that I didn’t need to amend.

So frustrating that I seem to be the only one that doesn’t see any changes on my TurboTax document. Just the same old refund amount I already received and no -10,200 on the other income line below the amount I received from unemployment compensation. My AGI is 50K, I qualify right? :(

I filed my taxes March 2 and I had to pay $2184 and I did so already . I did claim a little over $8,000 in unemployment. I got an email a while ago from H&R Block stating it will notify me if I need to do anything . I checked my transcripts and nothing yet . Hopefully to hear something soon

So I got my refund on February 24th however law passed about unemployment after that so how long is it going to take to see that adjustment?

So if you already got your refund and claimed Unemployment the IRS will give you what’s owed without you doing anything. . Remember the 3rd stimulus wasn’t wrote into law till after Irs started accepting OUR refunds in March that’s when the tax law changed saying it’s ok U don’t have to pay tax on unemployment up to $10,200 & if you haven’t got a letter & Says still processing please call the IRS u probably have to ID verfy

The person asking about do you need to amend no you don’t because you didn’t make a mistake. And if you haven’t received your refund yet and there is nothing wrong your only waiting for a person to manually update your new Refund number plus I think like extra few $ for interest. I believe we get interest idk the % after 45 days the return was accepted. Not approved Accepted which mean the IRS is saying yes we have ur return. Now let’s drive u crazy

I can answer most question about the new tax law about the unemployment . But need to know about what you made not like a litteral dollar amount but are you single what is ur filing status. If I can help just ask I’ll do my best

Live in Ohio, and I received unemployment and used taxslayer. When I log into taxslayer it shows adjusted amount from my unemployment. When I did the math, it is refunding me the full amount of taxes that were taking out. I filed 2/22and have not received my income tax refund as of yet. I’m curious to see if they are sending the unemployment part separately or with my refund

Kllycrft from what I’ve read you’ll absolutely get one. I used Jackson Hewitt and I’ll put their level of incompetence up against anybody’s. I called three weeks ago just to make sure I didn’t need to file an amended return or anything and the person I spoke to you would have thought I was speaking Farsi the way they reacted. They ended up literally hanging up

I filed with h&r block and they are the worst. They have no information whatsoever about what the estimated return amount would be,when I would receive it, or any general answers.

Filed 2/14 with W2 and unemployment, TaxAct shows updated amount of refund but I have not gotten a direct deposit date. No letters or anything! This is awful.

I don’t think I got an email from TurboTax but I did have $19,000 in unemployment last year so I’m not sure if I qualify for that refund

I haven’t received nothing but the email as well. My transcripts haven’t updated either.
